Planet Pho — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Ordinarily, this is our go-to place for pho. While the food is nothing exceptional or unique, it is decent, but I would never recommend placing an order to go. Tonight we called an order to go at 645pm and the estimated wait time was 30 minutes...no problem. This is the first time we've done a to-go, my toddler just wasn't having it and dining out as an option was non-existent. So we show up at 720pm and told "not ready come back" when asked how much longer the reply was "soon" so take a detour to get some drinks from 7-11 down the way, return about 12 minutes later and again told "soon" as multiple tables are being seated and food coming out. Then the female handling the restaurant asks, "you order something?" so now we're just confused because she implied she knew we ordered, asked us to return and now there's no recollection of any of this. We explain that we did place and order to go - one tofu vegetarian pho, one chicken pho and vegetarian spring rolls. So back to the kitchen she goes and returns to say "still cooking, soon" and now it's 7:58pm, they say they are closing at 8:30pm and so we leave with no food in hand. So disappointed with tonight's experience. 2 stars because the dine-in experience is significantly better, food is again, mediocre but fairly priced...

Delicious Pho! Very nice people run this little restaurant in Hawaii. It's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place... But the Pho is authentic and very, very good. I noticed many people getting take aways here and I'm sure they do a swift trade in those. As far as ambience goes, there really isn't any to speak of. The staff are all very nice and there's nothing wrong with the restaurant, it's just a bit run down. The bathrooms are outside the restaurant and I think they may be upstairs, so it would be hard if you're differently abled. If you're in the mood for some killer Pho, then this is...

I quote Andrew below when I say “ridiculously good”. We ordered 4 entrees and each was better than the last with generous portions! The interior isn’t super fancy so if you care about that, carry out but the food is excellent and it’s a nice family run place. These negative reviews that because they didn’t build out a handicapped bathroom, at great expense, when they clearly are not required to have this (or they would), that you would give a restaurant a 1 star review is, well, misguided.
