Rainbow Drive-In — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Stopped by here after Rehab to pick up lunch for the husband. He likes the hamburger steak plate here with gravy all over and their fries. I normally would never miss to pick up my favorite slushie here but i had too much to carry today ☹️ but i love their strawberry slushie and sometimes i will get it with vanilla ice cream. Yum!! 😍 A MUST try! Im not a fan of the burgers because i don’t care for the bun. Its too thick & fluffy for me - i will insert a pic from previous time i got takeout from here. Shoyu chicken is worth a try. Menu is small compared to the Kapahulu location i always went to but still good. Friendly employees too which is always a plus. Will update more here in...

I gave Rainbows 1 star. I made special trip to buy a slush float and it wasn't even open at 10am like the site says. Figure I give chance waited patiently to 10:40am and still not open with 1 male and 2 female workers drinking STARBUCKS and leaning against counter talking while customers came and left cause was closed on the date of 10/16/2020. I was forced to go to BURGERKING to buy any food to eat. After waiting 30 minutes for pearlridge to open the doors I still never get my slush float or breakfast from Rainbows Wai Makai. If I could give it 1/4 star I would give it that rating only cause of workers careless dedication to the business...

Maybe the versions not in the mall are a little better. Food wasn't bad just not as good as I thought it would be. We all got a variety. Chicken sandwich was pretty great and fresh. I have the Loco moco which was alright. For sure edible, I finished it. Low quality burger patty but still not bad. We had a burger also not bad. Tots and fries pretty great. Basic. Mac salad was way too much mayo but I hear thats how it's supposed to be which I understand. Honestly BEST thing was that slushy float. YUM!
