DO NOT STAY HERE! This is a long post, so I will summarize our issue: They kicked my wife and kids out of the hotel before the end of our reservation. ||||I reserved this hotel for my wife and children as part of a military Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move. Harbor Arms Apartment Hotel is an authorized participant in the Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) program. TLA allows service members and their families that are in the PCS process to stay at approved TLA hotels and receive reimbursement.||||This hotel was reserved beginning 12 June through 14 July but we ended up only needing the hotel through 5 July. My wife informed Harbor Arms that she would be checking out of the hotel on 5 July but would still make the 10 day payment on 4 July.||||TLA requires a participant to pay the hotel every 10 days and submit that receipt to the local TLA office for reimbursement. July 4th was the 10th day and my wife needed to pay the 10 day amount. When she went to do so, she was informed by hotel staff that her reservation was no longer valid and the room was taken. She explained to them that she still needed the hotel but was there simply at the 10 day requirement and not there to check out. The staff told her there was no vacancy and she could not extend the reservation, a reservation that originally went through the 14th.||||Each employee she talked to informed her that she was wrong and her reservation was expired. One employee yelled at my wife to inform her she was wrong. No matter how my wife explained that she was there only to pay the 10 day amount, not to leave the hotel, the employees were rude, yelled, and kicked my wife and the kids out of the hotel, despite the fact that our reservation was still valid and she and the kids had nowhere to go. My wife had to scramble to find a hotel with vacancies because Harbor Arms refused to allow them to stay one more day without any additional explanation other than that they couldn't extend the reservation--remember, the original reservation went through the 14th but was shortened to the 5th; this was on the 4th.||||The icing on the cake is that Harbor Arms kicked a military family out of its hotel on...
Read moreStaff is helpful and usually the people. I paid $30 to check in at 1030 vice the regular time of 1400. The front office had a maid show use where our room was. The stay comes with 1 parking stall. The room has a patio entrance (1st floor) that has screened windows that you can open and close. You need a key to get into the patio. It also doubles as a smoking area. From there is keyed locking glass door into the unit. The unit is basically a 2 bedroom apartment. It has a full size stove, microwave, fridge, kitchen sink. The sink has utensils, cooking utensils, tableware, and some cookware. The appliances and fixtures are better than average. Each room has ceiling fans and air con. The a/c units are a little loud. It was cool enough, so we were able to sleep with the off and just use the ceiling fans. Bathroom is p/soft pretty clean and up kept. I was worried because the bedrooms were facing the bike path. But there wasn't too much noise at night. Only during the day there people riding mopeds or motorcycles. Each room has 42" TVs with basic cable. There is wireless internet. The negatives I experienced was 1. as I said earlier the a/c units are kind of loud, 2. there is no paper/soft goods. Bring your own paper towels, tissue paper, shampoo, things...
Read moreWhile this apartment/hotel is primarily for long term for the military, they had some vacancies, so we were able to get an apartment for our family of 5 for 3 nights. I thought one of my granchildren would have to sleep on a sofa bed in the living room, but they had a double bed & a twin in one of the bedrooms, so that was great! Parking was free-and convenient. The location for us was EXCELLENT, as we were there for a soccer tournament at Waipio Complex, only 5 miles away. This place is very close to so many things--Starbucks, Baskins & Robins, Pearl Ridge Shopping Center--such a convenient location. The manager (Camie) was very friendly & responsive to any needs. While there is daily changing beds & towels, they don't do that on Sunday, but that wasn't a problem for us. We didn't know they had a smoke free floor until our last day, so next time, if we are fortunate enough to get to stay there, I would...
