We loved our stay here while we were pcsing out. We don’t like busy Waikiki and prefer a more stress free stay. I liked that we didn’t have to worry about finding a parking spot as you are assigned a spot and there is also street parking. The hotel was nice and quiet and clean even if it is outdated. The saltwater pool was always clean and never too busy! It was also the perfect depth for adults and kids, 3’-6’. I appreciated all the patio furniture with umbrellas for shade. This location was perfect for my husband commuting to hickam/camp smith and is very close to shopping. The hotel itself is safe and gated but surrounding areas are a little sketch but we are used to living on this side of the island. The laundry room was never busy and we were able to use their giant commercial dryers. The front desk can give you quarters. The rooms all have 2 bedrooms so the kids can have their own space and they have tvs in them. Loved the full kitchen so we could make all of our meals. I do wish they had a few more kitchen equipment to use such as cookie sheet, oven mitts, mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons. The Lanai patio was large enough to store our stroller and many people stored their dog crates out there as well. The hotel is very large dog/pet friendly. They have the best staff working here and are so accommodating. They have made our last week in Hawaii very easy and I wished we had known about them when we first moved to Hawaii. You aren’t going to find better in Waikiki as far as hotels that take TLA with 2 bedrooms/free parking/no pet fees. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation or to military families pcsing.

Decent 2-room apartment hotel, with daily housekeeping, for the price of a standard hotel room. Closer than any standard hotels to Camp Smith. Full kitchen including apartment sized refrigerator, oven and stove. Most kitchen utensils are here. Not included are pans for the oven, hot pads, paper towels, dish towels, dish soap and sponge. Bathroom has no outlets. O was able to bake using a skillet that has a metal handle, but it's tricky using a wash cloth to grab a handle that is 350 degrees. Each bedroom has a closet, there's also a linen closet in the hall, iron and ironing board, living area, dinette table with 2 chairs, desk, and balcony with small table and 2 chairs. Each bedroom and the living room has a window AC unit and a TV. Furnishings appear pretty new. The room looks like it was updated maybe 10 years ago based on the style and wear. Don't miss: There's a bike trail out the back from the property that runs right along the edge of Pearl Harbor. Get a key to the gate at the office. I found out about this in another review. The service manager I dealt with for late check in was super nice, fast and helpful, and the regular staff I made the reservation with on the phone was also considerate and helpful.

I am in the miltary and recently moved to oahu. This was the only TLA approved hotel with a kitchen that allowed dogs (I brought 3 shelties). I was also accompanied by my husband and 1 year old daughter. We stayed here for 1 month and really enjoyed the stay. The place is not modern in appearance but it is clean and the staff are friendly/helpful. There was a pool, wifi, BBQ area, and parking stall. The downsides of this place are that there are a lot of stray cats (friendly) and it is not located in the nicest part of Hawaii. I felt that overall I had a great experience and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants the luxuries of home while traveling or moving to Hawaii.

Before me and my wife decided to stay at this hotel with our children, we read all the reviews and looked at all the pictures and it looked like a really nice and clean place to stay. Now, I don't know whether the other people that reviewed this place have a lower standard of living or maybe the room that they got was just a lot nicer, but the room that we got was clearly not one of the rooms that we saw in the pictures. When we open the door to our room, we were greeted by dead roaches all over the floor. Some of them were still alive. There were food crumbs inside the cabinets. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped or swept. We asked for a non-smoking room and it smelled like cigarettes. It also seemed like there were more stray cats living on the property that ther were guests. These rooms clearly need to be upgraded to this century. If I was the owner of this hotel I would be embarrassed to allow people to stay here. How can you own a hotel and not periodically inspect the living standards of your property? How can you own a property in this condition and not take some of the profit and put it back into the property? How can you charge $430 and night and you can't even replace the drip pans in the stove? I'm pretty sure that the owner of this hotel lives in a beautiful home and wouldn't dare live in such filth. If I was the owner of this hotel I would ask myself, would I stay here? I would also ask myself, would I allow my children to stay here? I don't understand how you can own a property in this condition and charge the money that they're asking for. Now I will say that the staff were nice and friendly but that doesn't get over the fact that the living conditions were...

I will never stay here again. I'll start with the good, I'm active duty who just moved to Hawaii and they match your TLA rate making it a cheap affordable place to stay. The rooms include a spacious balcony, two bedrooms--one with a queen and one with two twins, and a kitchen area, so it is very spacious. They also had plenty of availability which is convenient. Now the bad (there are a lot of them). They include one parking spot in their reserved lot (that was never full) however it is a very crowded residential area, and street parking was virtually impossible around there, they would not even let you pay extra for their unused spots! Next cleanliness was the worst I have ever seen. They did not change the linens even when what appeared to be a blood stain was on one--which made it incredibly obvious when they said they would and simply made the bed. The kitchen was poorly equipped and not very functional, and even worse most of the dishes/cooking tools were dirty, I spend one evening actually cleaning everything because it is pretty clear the previous resident's mess was never cleaned. The floors were also dirty. The bathroom shelf was nearly falling off, the lack of a drain cover in the shower and general lack of cleanliness was disappointing. The AC was adequate but once again nothing spectacular. The number of stray animals around was also incredibly high. I'll say you get what you pay for, because it is a low quality disgusting place that certainly doesn't meet a basic standard of living. Not sure hoe they have 4+ stars on google, only reason I gave them two was because it has large apartment style rooms and is relatively cheap. I will stay elsewhere...

Best apartment sytle Hotel and affordable rates for Hawaii on the island!!! Private balcony with half wall for privacy. Fast internet, and cable in livingroom and bedrooms. Ours had 2 bedrooms, when most hotels have none. Good for children to have their own room and privacy for Mom and Dad. Couches in Livingroom. Full kitchen to cook in with stove, microwave, full size fridge and plenty of cabinet space. Dinning room area with table. Bathrooms have walk in shower, which my children loved. AC in both bedrooms along with livingroom area. With Harbor shores being more like an apartment maid service with clean towels daily and linen once a week, unless you want it done sooner. Garbage taking daily just leave at your front door or take to dumpster yourselves. Laundry room with plenty of industrial size washers and dryers which is a huge plus, extra utility sink as well. Salt water pool, bbq area and a bike trail behind hotel. 1 Street over from Pearlridge mall! The owners are so friendly, caring and helpful(shouts out to Sandy!) They are business owners who genuinely care about their customers. They are also cat lovers and have a few on site. Their cats keep to themselves. I walked passed one going into the office and he didn't even budge, just layed there. If anyone has a problem with them or they have a problem with you then something might not be so right with you. Cats have been known to have 6th sense, animals in general I think. Overall our stay couldn't been better and so peaceful. I would recommend staying here to anyone, families, military, couples, or even individuals who don't want to be cramped in the average clostaphobic...
