Fat Ronnie's Burger Bar — Restaurant in Oak Bluffs

Extremely rude. We took the 8:30pm ferry into Martha's Vineyard. Our kids (6 and 4)w starving so we decided to look for open places to eat and Fat Ronnie's seemed like a good option. My kids wanted hot dogs but as they looked into the counter they saw the corn in the salad bar and got super excited (they love corn). I asked for an additional order of corn for the kids and this is how the story started. The young lady in the counter said she couldn't sell an order of corn, it had to be part of a meal. I asked if she could include a serving of corn with the hot dogs and she said yes. I asked her if she could give is the corn on the side as my kids (as is common for kids) do not like their foods mixed. She said "the corn has to be on top of the hot dog". I again said I would be willing to pay extra for some corn but I just wanted to have the corn on the side or the kids wouldn't eat it. I even explained to her how this request was specifically for kids and begged her to help us. She again stated "the corn has to be on top of the hot dog". I figured maybe she didn't want to give us an extra plate which hasn't been paid for and hence the complication. I stated that she could give us the corn in a napkin if this suited her best but again she stated that "the corn has to be on top of the hot dog". She was being super unreasonable and I called her on it. I tried reasoning with her to no avail. I decided to cancel the order to which she just laughed it off. Being are a recent former Board of Health Agent and food inspector in Massachusetts I found this establishment violating the Mass Food Code !!!! This establishment is notorious for serving rare under cook burgers!!!!!I went there this Saturday evening and upon biting into my burger I found my bun pinkish red from the blood running from the rare burger. I nicely informed the wait staff in the front only to be talked to treated like I was the fault for the rare burger and told if I wanted one cooked medium well I would have to pay for another one. The employees are extremely rude and disrespectful not to mention how this establishment has and continues to serve undercooked rare ground beef!!!!! The main chef on the grill was also extremely rude. This was my second time there only to have the same experience except the first time which was last year they took the burger back and cooked it more! The owner needs to correct this violation and teach his employees how to serve and respect paying customers. I will be notifying the local health department as well as the state of Massachusetts health department about this continuous practice of improper food safety!!!! Shame on the owner for being a major health hazard...

The restaurant owner last night was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Multiple of my friends did not receive a receipt after their purchase. No big deal right? So we go up and ask them do we need them and they say "nope we can easily just look your name up." We all had no problems getting our food with no receipt but then when our last friend goes up to get her food they tell her she specifically needs a receipt. She says she doesn't have one and they proceed to accuse our only black friend of trying to steal food!! When she already paid and staff specifically told us we'd all be fine without a receipt. They continue to acuse her, yell, and embrass my friend until she's crying. Fifteen minutes laterthey realized their mistake and gave our friend her food. Afterwards, when we went to talk to the owner about the treatment and straight up discrimination that just happened he proceed to push us out of the store, yell at us, and plug his ears and turn around so he couldn't hear us (like a child).
