This spot is located nearby the Oaks Bluffs ferry terminal. We were greeted as soon as we got inside with a welcoming smile. It looked like a huge cabin by the water, with lots of wooden boats hanging from the ceiling. Warm and cozy atmosphere, great spot to relax.
We got complimentary peanuts, and you can toss the peanut shells on the floor!
We were not very hungry, as we have been eating our way through Martha’s Vineyard... We were just looking to get some beer and a snack. We got Parmesan Truffle Fries for snack, which was GREAT! We couldn’t stop eating them!
For drink, we got flight of beer. It is not on the menu, but if you ask, they will provide them! The flight comes with four beers of your choice. We went with East Chop, Blueberry, Argus, and Stout. Each beer was really tasty, some unique, some fruity, but all great!
We had a really nice, relaxing time here with delicious snack and drinks. Exactly what we wanted before getting onto the ferry. The service was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time here. I am sure we will be back during our next trip top...
Read moreVery puzzling... We were here a few weeks ago and it was very good, our server engaging and efficient, food served promptly. Last night a completely different experience. The server had no sense of urgency, the food took 45 minutes, the pizza was warm not hot, the burgers well done (ordered medium), and, perhaps the strangest thing, brought out the extra marinara sauce we asked for saying ”here but it's going to be cold” and indeed it was. It would have taken literally a minute to heat the sauce in a pan. I've been a hospitality professional for 20 years and I understand the ups and downs of service. Based on our first (positive) experience, this was a bad night for the restaurant. Really though, consistency should be a priority. There’s also a sneaky little 3% extra charge that is not explained or pointed out. Would I recommend the restaurant? Probably because they can usually accommodate seating without a long wait, prices are somewhat reasonable, and the server we had the first time was very good. Just be aware that you may not get exactly what you are...
Read moreMy husband and I split a burger and a couple beers all good. Our friends had 3 drinks, chowder that was ok and a lobster roll. The server wouldn't give separate checks- they told us that up front, even though it was only 2 couples. When I figured the bill, we spent 40, the other couple 80. I told the server to put 40 on our card and thenreatnon the other. He refused saying they could only split 50/50. Also we ended up paying 20 more for our lunch for his convenience. Next time we'll sit at separate tables, or just not come.
The place had 2 other tables with customers. It was practically empty. They guy wasn't interested in making our experience positive. You may want to inform your servers to advise patrons before they order, rather than making them pick up other people's tab. Also, putting one amount on one credit card, and the other on the second, isn't rocket science. They should be able to do that even if the place is hopping and packed- which is wasn't. ...
