We really like this place, I know its not the same as don poncho but if you include them we've ate here for 10 years.
That said we had a pretty rough experience tonight, although I don't think one bad experience is enough to bash a place this happened to be as a result of one of the owners who was our waitress.
Now I understand there is a language barrier sometimes in culture rich restaurants... but this was just a bit ridiculous.
So after our expectedly good food we ordered dessert. The owner acknowledged both dishes. We waited.. an absurd time went by and she brought only one, so we asked if the other was coming... she acknowledged. The kids had finished third while we waited.. after about 15 minutes of not seeing her we catch her. My wife, upset that this point asks her what happened to our churros says it's just too late at this point, but if she wants to make it right she can bring us the bill and churros to go and not charge us. Literally 20 minutes go by... she plates 3 tables and seems to ignore us...
I've now had my full and go to the front to speak to someone who understood me. I explained our waitress has destroyed the second half of the meal and is ignoring us at this poi t and failing to bring our bill.
I started that were at the point that were just going to leave, bill or no bill.
She goes to track her down. The owner then goes in the back comes out with churros to go and a bill that includes them.. my wife is hot... the 2 employees go back and forth in Spanish.. the owners final response is that she will remove it from the bill but my wife can't take it home... just ridiculous.....
Of course we will go back but I'll never accept her as our waitress again. Wasted over 30 minutes of our time and just doesn't understand how to fix or own her...
Read moreI saw this place on Google searching for somewhere to eat a late dinner with my family of 6. I can honestly say we all loved it! When you first enter, you are greeted and seated with welcoming staff. The facility is clean and the atmosphere complimented our style of family dining. We were able to enjoy each other's conversations and take our time eating. It was our first time here and our server was patient while we each decided what we wanted to eat. They gave us two baskets of their chips and salsa which we enjoyed very much until our order came out. My husband and I ordered 2 single Fajita Jalisco which was still sizzling when it arrived, our children ordered the Camarena Special (15 yr old), Burrito Locos (13 yr old), kid's Enchilada, Rice, and Beans (12 yr old), and the kid's Hamburger with French Fries (8 yr old). The portions were enough for us to take some home to enjoy. We love to add hot sauce to our food and definitely recommend their homemade hot sauce over the bottled ones. Even if we didn't finish all our food, we decided to order 2 of the Churros with ice cream for dessert (to go) and that was also very delicious but the churros weren't covered in sugar and cinnamon like the photo. I have posted pictures of our meals but recommend you give it a try because the food was absolutely delicious and worth every dollar! Another great thing is that even if they are so close to Fort Campbell, they support our troops and offer a...
Read moreThey do not know how to make a burrito. I was around so I figured I’d order something to eat as take out. I ordered a standard burrito we all know and love only difference is pastor meat. They wrapped the meat in a wheat tortilla, put it in the middle of a plate, and then served rice on one side and beans on the other. Not sure how you can mess up a burrito, but I went in there to get it fixed. He apologized and got me a “burrito”… it was literally the same thing but now all inside the tortilla. 0 cilantro, 0 sour cream, 0 anything except the rice, beans and meat, not even folded like a burrito, so naturally all the insides dropped into the plate. The beans basically flavorless, not to mention the meat, it had the right color, but NO FLAVOR. Like it wasn’t even seasoned or something. Other than that the staff was friendly but they gotta do better… burritos are too...
