Recently moved to the area from Chicago. I'm just posting a review now that I have been here 4-5 times. The gyros here are phenomenal. The owner (I assume) is a nice guy. Unfortunately based on my experiences here this is the tale of 2 completely different experiences. When the owner is there the portions a great for your money. However I have been here on a few occasions where there are younger employees... family working, a young man and lady. I'd guess they're in their late teens early 20's? I usually order my gyros with extra meat. You pay a $1.99 for it, but it's worth it because it is so good. When the owner is there I feel like I get my money's worth. But when the younger employees are there? Not so much. If I were to suggest anything. Is the owner teaches and instructs the employees who work for him in his absence learn portion control. Other than that, this is an awesome place with great food and an awesome owner, when he's there. You may want to come back another time if you don't see the owner behind the counter..... just sayin'
I've been a regular eating here. I still love his gyros. But today I ordered the gyros plate with rice and salad. I was amazed. The gyro meat is placed on top of a bed of rice. A small salad and a cut up piece of pita bread. Every thing was delicious. I will get back here soon and have it again. I will need to "tweak" a few things, {they put chopped black olives} in the salad. Personally speaking, I don't like olives. I've come to know the owner a bit over the year and told him my thoughts. I WILL BE BACK FOR THAT GYRO PLATE! AWESOME in my...
Read moreHave always had a wonderful meal at Sams! Authentic and delicious food- especially the gyros. Both the chicken and lamb are excellent- traditionally prepared and served alongside crispy fries (which are so good!) The salads or tenders are a great choice too. I’ve never had to wait long for a hot meal- little wait time. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a small dine in area which is cozy.. or pickup available- again, short wait times. The prices are quite reasonable and portion’s generous. If you want something sweet to finish your meal with, you can’t go wrong with the homemade baklava. All around, nothing but great things to say about Sams. My husband have returned time and time again and it comfortably sits as one of our favorite local Fort...
Read moreI’m not sure how this place got good ratings. Maybe they were good once upon a time but this place was freaking terrible. This was the absolute worst gyro I’ve ever had in my life. The meat was greasy and flavorless, the vegetables old and wilted, I was starving and couldn’t eat more than a few bites without just throwing it in the trash. My friend got the chicken gyro and he said it was the worst he’s ever had also. The owner was rude when I asked him questions about the menu. Overall a terrible experience and even more terrible food. Go to Greek Style Gyro if you’re looking for a gyro on Fort Campbell Blvd they are 100x’s better than this and place. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Avoid this establishment, you...
