Havana Tacos and Burger — Restaurant in Oak Park

First and last visit. No welcome upon entering from guy behind counter. Ordered the 3x Birria tacos (2 steak, 1 chicken). Took one bite of the steak birria and it had the funkiest, foulest, gamiest, bloodiest taste. I was still in the lot, so I took the tacos back in to switch the 2 steak birrias for 2 more chicken. After telling the guy behind the counter about the food, he went to back to tell the cook and then brought the cook over to explain that they don’t take food back if it’s been eaten (how can tell if you like something or not without at least tasting it? Also, my first time here.) I was met with immediate hostility. No asking me about what was wrong, just that they don’t replace food. Then turned around and said that other restaurants don’t replace food, but they do. It was the instant argumentative attitude, as if to argue me down before I could even speak. Very aggressive. Told me they spend a lot on the food. In my mind, I’m thinking, ‘and I’m paying for it too.’ After he dominated the interaction, he replaced the food and told the guy that was behind the counter to tell me that he let it slide this time, but he won’t replace food again. Customer service is just as important as the food, and for me, it is more important. I will not patronize a “business” run by people who don’t know how to talk to people. I will not return. I came here all the time because I really like the food until I had a horrible experience with management and an employee. I ordered their shrimp tacos over the phone for pickup about 20 minutes. When I went to pick up my food the cashier confirmed my order and handed me my items. I went home, put my daughter to bed, and when I was ready to eat I opened my container and inside was hamburger and fries, nowhere near what I ordered. I called back letting them know THEY gave me the wrong food. They told me to bring the food back and they will remake it. It was such an inconvenience, and when I expressed the inconvenience they did not care. I had to go back to the store and when I returned they blamed me for not checking my items before I left the store, even though the cashier confirmed my order for me.
