Honestly, I rarely leave low rated reviews, but this was mid at best. I've passed this place so many times and see them on food delivery apps and never had a chance to stop in. I honestly wish I hadn't. The food was way overpriced. The service (front desk) was poor, and the atmosphere was not great. I walked in and immediately was cut off by children running in front of me (love kids btw, I mean kids are going to be kids) but I look up and see there is absolutely no space at the tables bc one or 2 families had them and their multiple children spread out over 4 tables in addition to the ones running around aimlessly. I wanted to sit down, so that was clearly not happening. Secondly, as we were placing our order, we were interrupted by a customer. Instead of the cashier telling them to hold on as I was finishing, she stopped me to get them condiments. We finished our order for 1 burger, 1 sandwich, and an extra fry came to $53! That's outrageous. I was taken aback but was hoping that maybe the food is just that amazing. It....was not. It also wasn't mentioned that sandwiches/burger do NOT come with fries or a side. I couldnt believe 1 burger & fry amounted to $36 by themselves even with an extra patty bc its only 5oz. I loved that they're kosher but I've had better. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich for myself and was disappointed in lack of flavor and overdoneness. I tried a tiny piece of the burger out of the $53 curiosity, and honestly that wasn't the greatest either. I understand it's business, but not being able to even sit down and eat, the service not be informative or even asking if I'd like to add a side was just very off-putting. I'm not sure if I'll be back, I saw they had sushi, but I'm not impressed. I've had better halal & kosher down the street and even dtwn detroit or Birmingham and paid 1/3 of the price. I just wish the food matched the hype. I will say the food was made 15-20min and I saw they have pre-made proteins & salads, but that was probably the only plus. Perhaps maybe another time, but no time soon...
Read moreThis place is well worth it. This was our first time here. We ordered a Reuben, the New Yorker, both triple deckers, and fries. Wowza! So tasty! My only complaint was that I needed more napkins, and honestly, that's a compliment! The portions were quite generous. The fries were super crispy and tasted fresh. The pastrami and corned beef were divine! I don't know how they managed to make it juicy, but not greasy? Whatever magic this is, please keep it up! The saurcraut wqs so good. Great tang and a slight crisp! I could have eaten a plate of it! We couldn't eat everything and had to take leftovers. Later in the evening, we had a craving and ate our leftovers, and the fries were still crispy, tender, and delicious, even cold. My only regret is not ordering more! The staff was super nice, and although they were a bit busy filling orders, they were extremely kind and gracious. We brought our elderly family here to reminisce and make some good memories. One of our local elderly aunts is kosher, and we really appreciate that this restaurant practices kosher cooking and displayed their certification. I had a chance to speak with the manager, and we complimented him on the delicious food. He was so kind and indicated that the pastrami was made in-house. He then offered a coupon for a next visit which was incredibly generous. Great food, kind staff, clean, fast, fresh, kosher, nice...
Read moreTheir homemade sub bread is a tasty effing creation.
I fortuitously went there as a substitute for something that was not available at Pizza stop at One Stop Kosher, and I was pleasantly surprised. The selection that I made was the fabled chicken bacon ranch. It was quite pricey even as a special ($13.95), and I spoke to the cashier and she said that the sandwich could be built in that way except that it would be closer to $15.85 plus tax.
At the price of $13.95, I would say that it is within my comfort level when I experience a moment of weakness. For $15.85, I don't see myself purchasing it.
I think that the big come on that they had there was the homemade bread, which was sweet, soft, and delicious. I would venture to say that there is no sandwich that you could build on that particular bread that would not be good.
If they put the chicken bacon ranch on the menu as a regular item, I will definitely be back - - frequently.
They also have a very tasty sweet noodle kugel that is good to have probably once a year. (It's diabetes on a...
