Peking China — Restaurant in Oak Park

I used to love this place I order almost every other day I love their crab Rangoon. Yesterday on June 8, 2025 9:33pm I placed an order over the phone nothing too crazy just sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice and side of gravy . I arrived to pick up my order after being rushed on the phone because they said they were closing really soon so I get home excited to enjoy my food and everything was off really off my sweet and sour sauce tasted horrible it tasted like apple cider vinegar very bad tasting no love no care the gravy was cold and thick the rice was really hard I never had an experience like this before I felt really sick I threw the food away mind you I only stay 3 minutes from the restaurant so nothing should be cold at all. I contacted the manager and was refused a replacement order and no refund he had a really bad attitude this is not how you treat everyday loyal customers I just would have been happy with a remake now I want to take further necessary action to get what I deserve I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with food poisoning and I did not want to do this but I will be contacting an attorney for this matter. Finally found a good Chinese place in the Southfield/Oak Park area. I've been looking for one ever since Wing Hong on Southfield had a fire and never reopened. Most of the ones in this area are mediocre at best. Great chicken fried rice! You don't even need the soy sauce it is so flavorful! Yummy sesame chicken and the egg rolls and spring rolls don't taste like chemicals! Pepper steak was good. My husband likes the egg foo young. When I first tried this restaurant a couple of months ago, it was really good at first. However, unfortunately the quality has been going down hill since then. There were a couple of times where the chicken wasn’t consistent, and then I ended up getting shrimp that was not clean properly and still had poop on it. Today they forgot the sauce to one of my meals and then the other one had sauce all over the bottom of the bag because they use to also wrap the boxes in plastic to prevent spills but I guess they stopped doing that.
