Now this place has the ONLY SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT IN OAK PARK CALLED "MOOKIES BEANS AND GREENS". Mookies is your one stop spot for real cook with love soulfood. Although in a great location it can be very difficult to see from GREENFIELD OR LINCOLN street in driving by so just turn into the LINCOLN SHOPPING CENTER FROM GREENFIELD AND IT'S LOCATED TO YOUR RIGHT IN THE FAR CORNER OF THE PLAZA. Now let me tell you Mookey's food is fabulous. The food is so good it's just like your moms cooking or better. They always have a great selection of food from chicken pork and beef. Their meatloaf and Turkey Wings are very popular so you may have to wait to get these dishes as they go fast if you dont call them in ahead of time because they have to cook more. YES! EVEN IF YOU CALL IN YOU MAY STILL HAVE TO WAIT A FEW MINUTES. THIS IS NOT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT! Again people this is not fast food but excellent comfort food. Their catering is pick up only but still very professional and all of the food is modestly priced. But the wait is well worth it; yes they're crowded. Perhaps some would prefer MOOKEYS EXPRESS, it is conveniently located inside NEW ABBEYS LIQUOR STORE AT THE CORNER OF SOUTHFIELD RD. AND W.10 MILE RD. 25030 Southfield Rd. So you can get your food, play lottery, and buy your drinks to go along with that delicious food all in one spot. Catering is ONLY available at the GREENFIELD LOCATION. Mookey's catered my Father-in-Laws Birthday food and the food was a hit; everyone (about 30 people) was so happy they asked where the food came from so they can get their next event catered from Mookey's. Lincoln Shopping Center located on the Northbound side of Greenfield just north of Lincoln Dr has a range of stores from Aldi, Kroger and Kroger gas station to McDonald's to Rainbow, The Suit Depot, Book & Beat, Advance America, Bread Basket, Mookie's Beans and Greens, etc....

The area is somewhat busy with a White Castle, L. George's coney Island, Popeyes & 7/11 nearby along with another shopping center across the street in the Southfield side of the border. This is an area where you can get most of what you want or are looking for.
