Walked in, was immediately addressed and seated shortly after by kind host staff, wait staff though busy made it to my table within less than 2 minutes to take my order. Coffee was delivered within a few minutes, with half and half. Food was delivered about 15 minutes later which is to be expected with the place being packed when I got here and the fact I ordered an omelette.
Food order: Oppenheimer Omelette Coffee (cream and sugar on side)
Coffee was a bit on the weaker side for my taste, but nothing too bad as far as diner style coffee goes, pretty par for the course.
The omelette had no shortage of fillings and came with a side of toast or biscuit, for today I went with the toast as I'm not much for biscuits with my omelettes. The fillings were as follows: bacon, deli style ham, sausage, bell pepper, jalapeno, onion. They all complimented each other incredibly well and were the perfect spice level for me, though maybe a bit much if you don't like spice.
For me the decor of this place as well as the overall feel calls back to some of those nostalgic hometown style diners my family would sometimes go to as a child, I love the overall decor and homey feel of the place, though some people might find the signs all over the walls a bit much, I find it more of as a fight back against the boring minimalism that most restaurants now do, so it's kinda refreshing.

Read moreSo, here is MY experience. *Side note:: prices are AMAZING, But that's it:: It's basically the same as any other breakfast diner. Nothing special. Asked about the oatmeal and was told it's plain bland and they didnt have any add-ins like fruit, nuts, or anything. So I just had sausage and bacon unfortunately because nothing else was interesting or suited to my tastes. I think they could be better than they are. Some changes would help. Like large black serving trays so they aren't parading half the staff to deliver a meal to a table. Menu changes like adding fruit and lighter, healthier options for those of us with a few restrictions. Because I'm sorry but what restaurant doesn't have fruit at all but they have pancakes and waffles which could also use fruit toppings? Unless the server was just mistaken or being unfriendly, which she was nice enough so I don't think that's the issue. If I ever go back I hope some kinks have worked out of their system and they have taken some recommendations about a few things. I do understand that they are a new place, but considering how people are trying to be health conscious and still eat well you would figure some options would be available for us as well. 3/10 but I may go back in a few months and see if I can change the review with a...
Read moreWe’re new to town and always make it a point to check out the local joints, so Hole in the Wall Café quickly landed on my list. I was craving breakfast, but we strolled in at 11:01—yep, missed it by one minute. Breakfast was officially over. A little heartbreaking, but I regrouped and went with the daily special: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. And wow… talk about a happy accident. The chicken was served piping hot, the gravy was downright crave-worthy, the mashed potatoes were smooth and flavorful, and the green beans were spot on. Service was fast, friendly, and no-nonsense, and the prices were just as friendly. Of course, now I had unfinished business—breakfast. So the very next morning I set my alarm a little earlier and gave it another go. This time I went for the basics: eggs, ham, potatoes, and coffee. Everything came out hot, fresh, and cooked just the way breakfast should be. My wife went big with an omelet, and let me tell you—it was huge, perfectly cooked, light, fluffy, and every bite was delicious. Safe to say, Hole in the Wall Café has won us over. My wife and I left grinning both times, and this little spot is officially going on our...
