Los Caballeros — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

Second basket of chips tasted strange, like playdoh. 100% homemade food is a laughable statement lol super processed chicken nuggets (SPONGEY NONSHREDDING 'MEAT') that were as hard has rocks for my toddler, as well as bagged French fries. A grade above a bad day at Taco Bell as far as the adult food goes. I got a plate of lettuce/sour cream and guac, that was resting on a lovely layer of WATER...my fiancé's enchilada sauce tasted like ketchup and a chicken flavored ramen packet? Super friendly staff, especially the blond waiter. Unfortunately the lovely wait staff didn't make the food taste any better...total waste of money! We will NOT be...

Los Caballeros is our favorite restaurant. For years we have had a consistent and excellent experience. While my family tries something different or rotates through a few favorites, I get the Tacos de Carne Asada every single time we go to Oak Ridge, about once a week. The steak is simply and perfectly prepared every time, and the homemade salsa verde is to die for. It is delicious. A true family restaurant, we always enjoy great food and great service. We just noticed they have made the patio dog friendly, water bowls etc, and plan to take...

I have had great food here, especially early on when it first opened, but the service has never been adequate. They seem very under staffed and quick turnover of servers. I want this place to do well since it's walking distance from work, but the last 2 visits offered neither good food or service. What has happened? I hope the owners, who seem like great people, will read their reviews and try to make some improvements, I usually won't give a 3rd chance to a restaurant, but in this case I know it has served much better tasting food in...
