If you want ice cream, or anything to eat, avoid this place after 6p. Nothing but problems. I have visited this location 3 times now and only walked/drove away with something once. Even the time I got something there was an issue. The 2 folks inside seemed to be having an argument with one another and my order sat on the counter much longer than it had too. On my most recent, worthless, visit, the drive thru line was very long. Ok, no problem, I'd rather go inside anyway, not sure what I wanted. It was 8:45p. I walked inside, looked at the menu board trying to figure out which Blizzard I wanted. Some lady hands another person what appeared to be a delivery order. She turns to me and my wife and says inside is only open for Door dash(Or some delivery company) only. If we wanted to order we would have to go through the drive thru. Seriously? She said Drive Thru only. Doors unlocked, no sign on door stating interior only open for delivery, and there was 3, maybe 4, people behind the counter. For a moment I was going to go through the drive thru then said forget it, your major competition is not even 5mins away, I bet they'll take my order, and sure enough, they did. Why do you bother opening this location at all. No one seems to want to work here. They seemed bothered everytime I pull up or that their problems are more important than those paying the bills. I'm not saying I'll never visit this location again, but it will take an awful lot to get me back. Again, your major competition is literally just around the corner.
And no pics to post because I...
Read moreThe last three times I have visited this Dairy Queen location, I've been severely disappointed in the service. They always mess up at least one item on the order, usually when we ask to not have whipped topping on a milkshake (a simple ask, I feel), and I think it's intentional. When we ordered a cake for my son's birthday, about a week in advance, we went on the scheduled day to pick it up, and they had to quickly make it, last minute. I am not sure if it was that they'd forgotten about the order or hadn't bothered to prepare it. During the most recent visit, we were exhausted and trying to salvage a very bad day, and were laughed at, possibly for the simplicity of an ordered item or for their failure to hear what it was we wanted. They made us repeat what it was three different times with raucous laughter heralding the third and final time from more than one person over the headset mic. When we did make it to the cashier at the window, finally, she acted so rude. Her tone, the way she handed us things, and her smirk, all contributed to this experience in a negative way. The one good thing from this experience is that we got to find someone with exemplary service at the nearby Sonic! So, that will be where I spend money for ice cream from...
Read moreMay 17th I placed and order and promptly went to get it at the store a few minutes later. I first went to the drive through and waited 5 minutes without a single person saying hello or asking if I needed anything. So I decided they must be busy, I will go inside. I pulled around and found the door to be closed while an employee yelled from the car they were hanging out by we closed the inside.. mind you almost an hour before the restaurant closes. It was evident why I did not receive service the first time as all of the employees were sitting in the parking lot either getting high or just plain doing nothing but talking to random people in cars who were not customers. I only placed a small 5 item order and they still forgot one of my items after the wait time. Get your act together Oak Ridge Dairy Queen. No wonder why your business is going into the tubes. Hire people who aren't going to focus on getting high but are going to actually do the job they get paid to do. On top of the items that I actually got, all of them also tasted like stale rubber. I paid money for what?. You lost my business pressing forward...
