The 1st time I came here was about 5 years ago, and loved everything about the little bakery. The pastry's cakes and bread where delicious and not overly sugared and they had some very unique Italian cakes I had never seen anywhere else that were gorgeous and delicious and old family recipes. Since they closed down to remodel and reopened the decor is very cute and welcoming but all the baked goods are no longer good. Everything is super sugar coated with a sickening amount of cheap frosting, the bear claws no longer almond paste it tastes like almond extract sugar paste, and they no longer have all there unique family cakes. And the bread doesn't have the same artisan taste and texture to them. And the people behind the counter are not as warm & welcoming as they used to be. It's such a shame because since I have lived here I've been so excited to see them sprucing up this little block and making it more...
Read moreI just moved to town from a bigger city and wanted to love this place based on other reviews. I’m a chatty person and love the small town vibe of places like this. I walked in however to three people, and not one person said “hi how are you” it was basically order what we wanted and left feeling unfulfilled. I was excited to try the hot cross buns… if you are from across the pond, a heads up, these are not true hot cross buns. They taste more like a firm american scone rather than a soft, spiced fruit roll and they had a lemon curd cross on top (instead of the flour/water baked on cross) which was an...

Oh the cookies - i brought some back to FL one time - now people place orders, so an empty suitcase carry on is needed to keep them as safe as possible. It is an adventure through TSA. And every raised eyebrow is worth a bit from an Angel Cookie. Now they have sandwiches and soups, salads, and on... Everything I have had there have been worth a second trip. And yes that is worth the 6 hour flight from Florida plus 2.5 hour ride from the airport! The Angel cookie, Coconut Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Drops, Peanut Butter, worth the calories, and you truly just need one - they are the best...
