Clean store. Surprisingly wide selection of food and drink for bfast. Awesome crew with unsupportive manager.
On Oct 30, 2023 at 12pm I placed an order through kiosk, because the 2 crew I saw looked busy. The drive thru and the counter were busy, plus orders were coming in through online apps. I waited 10-15 minutes for my order. During that time, the drive thru was full, there were 3 online orders, and one person in counter left to order. Despite all of this, i heard the manager announce she was going to the bathroom. She came back for a minute or two to instruct the 2 overextended crew. Then the manager came out from behind the store service area and into the lobby and barked, "my store is looking rough. We need to clean up out here," before she escaped through a door connecting between Dunkin and the Extra Mile. I did not see her return by the time the super friendly crew handed me my order. I understood they were short handed amd unsupported by their barking absent manager. Yet they kept composure and maintained professionalism, and even acknowledged how long I was waiting. The misplaced manager has a golden team.
(While in college, I worked for 5.5 years as a McDonald's crew and crew-trainer for Dennis Grasspointer in Stanislaus County California between 1995-2001. My managers Ralf, Minerva, Dana, Sherry, and Jorge, among others were always supportive which made the job enjoyable. I felt bad for these crew, which is why I posted this review. I know good crew when I see them. I also know when managers are in need...
Read moreI though I’d like this location, but I feel like these poor employees are always unsupported and understaffed. The girls are always sweet to me but I can tell they are not staffed properly or upper management is not good. UPDATE: Don’t go here, don’t waste your time, this whole place needs new ownership or management. Or to just be shut down. If you have to drive far to get to this location and then every single time you show up there’s a problem. It’s absolutely ridiculous. And I have given them so many chances. I honestly can never come here without problems. They never serve food, ever. They close at all hours of the day. I just went here at 12:30 in the drive thru and there was no sign at the ordering area that they were closed. Then, after waiting for 5 minutes, I pulled up and it said drive thru was closed. It didn’t say the entire business was closed. If it said that the entire business was closed I wouldn’t drive around the block to get back to the front entrance. These employees know that if you don’t put that your entire business is closed, that people will have to drive around the entire block to get to the front end of your store and it’s not even open. This is a hard location to maneuver from the drive-through to the front store. They were mopping the floor at 12:30 in the afternoon knowing this is peak business time for people...
Read moreI had just checked out of a hotel in Oakland after visiting a friend in Alameda and was on my way to my storage unit. I figured I’d grab something quick to eat while cleaning out my car—so I stopped at the Dunkin’ around 7:20 AM.
From the start, it was off. A female voice at the intercom told me to pull forward without taking my order. At the window, I said “Good morning” and was met with a cold “How can I help you?” I asked for a Wake-Up Wrap and a chocolate-filled powdered donut. The guy working said, “It’s hard for me to pick and choose because there’s only two of us here. You’ll have to come inside.”
I just said “Thank you for your time, have a good day” and left. No other cars in line, no reason for the poor attitude. This was supposed to be a quick, convenient stop. Instead, I left annoyed and reminded why I stopped coming to Dunkin’ in the first place.
This location needs serious...
