I patiently waited for my food as I heard the numbers go up 20 above mine. I figured they didn’t make my food or someone had taken it (similar thing happened to the person before me). When I asked one worker, she angrily replied that I needed to wait for my food. So then I asked the lady that took my order hoping she would remember me and she said the same thing. The previous lady irritatingly said “I told her she needed to wait” talking about me. It was embarrassing for me. So by this time, it had been 25 minutes and I asked again after someone received the same order that I did with an advanced number and they took my receipt and did not apologize for the wait. They made my sandwich after this. This whole thing took 30 min and there were zero apologies from both workers. The latte I ordered was okay and it was made pretty fast. I think they need a system where they mark the pastries and sandwiches with the order number in order to prevent confusion. I understand it’s a high-volume place like the airport and they were expediting orders as efficiently as they could, and dealing with all sorts of customers.. but the customer service needs to be worked on for sure. I’d understand if I were rude and demanding, but I waited as patiently as I could and asked for...

Peets is gone. In its place is Farely's Cafe between gate 22 and 23. The line goes directly to the register, bypassing the selection of food so you can't see what you might want to order.

I ordered a bagel that felt like I was eating dried shaped gruel in a Siberia prison cell. There are so many things wrong with this one bagel, that I will go through the trouble of listing it for you, just for your amusement. The bagel was automatically toasted, not at my request. It was toasted too long or was very stale because it was hard to bite the hard exterior layer. Who am I kidding. The whole thing was stale and toasting it couldn't save it. It was hard to press my teeth together to chew through the bagel. I had to use the back molars to grind the bagel down. My jaw hurts. They didn't give me enough cream cheese to spread on two sides. It cost $4.50 for something that might have been served in the 1990's in a country that has never heard of bagels. But I'm determined to finish this thing because I am stuck on a plane and should something bad happen before I'm done, I will have a hard object to...

On Monday, July 7, 2025, the same Hispanic woman everyone has been complaining about treated me very poorly, disrespected me, and even threatened to call the sheriff just because I told her she was being unfair and rude. I came over for help because the drink I wanted wasn't on the menu. She yelled at me, saying I had to order using the screen and that the drink was listed there. After searching for five minutes and not finding it, I told her I needed help, but she yelled that she was very busy and I had to wait. Then, someone got in line behind me and was immediately served without any problem. When I asked her what the difference was between me and that person, she angrily snapped at me, saying if I was done talking, she wouldn’t serve me and I should leave. She threatened to call the sheriff on me. It was an absolutely degrading and humiliating experience. I strongly advise against going to this place. This incident happened around 4:10 p.m. on July 7th 2025 I don’t understand why management keeps this employee after so many bad reviews that seem to be about the...

Lady behind the counter at Oakland airport being difficult and told me that the dressing wasn't available. This is after she argued with me that the micro greens on the avocado toast were just cilantro like it was a big pile of cilantro. I explained to her those are micro greens and I'm sure there's cilantro in it but those are definitely micro greens (it’s even on the menu as this) and she argued with me and then she told me that I couldn't have the dressing. this is so funny I can't even handle it right now. So now I'm sitting here with an avocado toast that I can't eat because I won't be able to eat anything but the avocado part and not even get this hard ass bread down. I needed the dressing because I can’t swallow the bread down without it being moist due to a medical issue/extreme acid reflux. Ridiculous. She was willing to sell me the dressing for $.35 and then after we argued micro greens she’s like no dressing for you. 😆

This cafe is next to gate 23 and opposite to the restrooms. Has few vegetarian/jain food options. I ordered a decaf mocha with almond milk. Staff is nice and helpful, they made it with regular coffee but replaced it when I told them that the order was for decaf. Mocha had less of the chocolate taste and was more of a regular iced coffee. Definitely have had better mocha elsewhere. Overall good place to get a quick flight while waiting for boarding or if you have just landed in Oakland airport terminal 2.
