Hot Fish/Joshuas Gulfport Seafood — Restaurant in Oakland

I got the 333 combo with three fried oysters, three fried shrimp, and three pieces of fried catfish. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY! Moist and tender meat with a crispy crust. Absolutely classic. The combo was a lot of food! It came with Louisiana style hot sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup, as well as plenty of fries.

Service was cheerful and very friendly. There isn't any seating, so it's really take-out only.

The one minor criticism I have is that the fries were pretty mediocre, but they really aren't the main attraction...

I think I found my go to place for fried seafood in the Diamond/Fruitvale/Laurel area. Yeah...It's a "hole in the wall" / "no frills" kinda place but it's damned good also =).

I ordered the 333 catfish, oyster, and prawn combo and it was delicious. THE OYSTERS & FISH WERE BOMB! It was definitely enough food for two people.

You can try calling on the phone but good luck getting them to pickup. Just go by the place, order your food and wait; they don't take long to...

The catfish was great. Prawns good - not what I expected, but nicely done. Beware the menu prices are quite a bit higher than on menus that can be found on the internet. And, the sides are not included, for the most part. So if you select potato salad or slaw, you'll pay extra. Somehow I did not end up with fries on one of my orders, but these things happen. I will return - just plan to add $4-5.00 to the menu prices you can see online. Really...
