Only giving 3 stars cause the aunties behind the counter were lovely. The younger two who were working were not the best.
I'm back in town after moving away a couple years ago. Prior to that I was a regular for almost 8 years. Before they fixed up the inside to look more modern. I'd get the same thing as I ordered today with no problems. When I went to order my bfast sandwich w/bulgulgie she kept calling it the lunch sandwich. When I explicitly said I want a breakfast sandwich with bulgulgie added to to it. Of course my order came out like a lunch sandwich with egg added. Had take off half the bread cause it had mayo & mustard that was all over it. I'm allergic to mayo. Luckily I the lettuce they put on it was the main thing touching it and I was able to use the other slice, with extra toast they brought me.
Even with the mistake I still wanted to show support & no hard feelings by buying an iced coffee. On the menu I only saw the Vietnamese coffee option hot or cold. So I unfortunately assumed by saying ice coffee that is what I would get. It wasn't until the young guy behind the register started saying I wanted a regular coffee with ice to the other girl, I realized there was a second option of regular coffee. So when I tried to get clarification I was brushed off & told "its fine its fine" multiple times, it wasn't until my drink was done they clarified & it was to late to get what I originally wanted. When I tried to talk to the guy again he got defensive & said I wanted an ice coffee so thats what I got. Even after I tried to figure it all out before the drink was made. My drink was supper bitter and something I could have just made at home. Wishing I had just kept my $20.
Never in all my time coming here has two simple orders been so chaotic. Now I know not to come here again. Which is a shame cause this has always been my favorite spot next to Pretty Lady Cafe (when the original owners ran it). Also to clarify I work in costumers service & have worked front of house for many pop ups & restaurants. So I try to be understanding & as clear as possible but this whole experience specifically with the young...
Read moreTL;DR It’s more expensive to eat out these days (October 2022) but Koffee Pot is both reasonable and worth it!
I’ve lived close by for a while, but it wasn’t until I ran into someone else who lives in the area a couple of states away that I decided to give Koffee Pot a try. I’m glad I did!
I got 2 BLTAs (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) on croissants which came with mayo and yellow mustard. I’d never had mustard on a BLT/BLTA, but the sweetness of the mustard was great in cutting the richness of the bacon, avocado and croissant. They were REALLY good! The bacon was cooked super crisp, but not to the point that it crumbles.
I’m not sure if I would have gotten more lettuce and tomato on another type of bread, but I’m happy with the price ($8.50 + tax, each). I did like that Koffee Pot is bright, clean, and the staff are very friendly. I also saw the maintenance person from my old building there who seemed to know the staff quite well. He’s a super nice guy and in my experience, nice people associate with others who are nice and that definitely lent itself to the atmosphere of Koffee Pot.
I’ll definitely...
Read moreI got the bulgogi (Korean steak) omelet and French toast and they were amazing! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly with a lot of spices. The flavor is bold and distinct so if you’re more of a simple breakfast person it may not be for you. I ate at the restaurant inside. This is not a typical breakfast spot where you eat with friends as there is limited seating inside and the outside seating isn’t preferred as it’s not in the greatest area. The service was impeccable, the servers were very kind. Food came quick and was fresh. Would definitely recommend but not for a formal dine in experience. But if you’re by yourself or with a friend looking to grab breakfast this...
