Hey yaāll, this is my 1st review of the year & itās not good. I ordered a Super Burrito wrapped in a spinach tortilla with steak & grilled chicken(double meat) rice, pico & cheese. Iām allergic to guacamole & per my dietary restrictions I cannot have sour cream. Hereās what I received:Super burrito, white flour tortilla,steak & grilled chicken(without the double meat) probably a 1/4 cup of rice, Guacamole mix of pico!!! Sour cream š¤¦š¾āāļø. The burrito was so greasy as if the preparer didnāt strain the meat before putting it on the flour tortilla. It bothers me when I pay for something and I donāt receive what I paid for ,especially when I know how much the extra cost & for the preparer that doesnāt pay attention to a customer dietary needs is dangerous.I feel taken advantage of.When your in the food service, itās your responsibility to make sure your not causing harm to your customers.I was sick all night from just 2 bites of this burrito. I had the order picked up for me & made sure I text the specific order to the person picking up my food. I get my burritos from this location & just last week my order was followed properly. Treat people food, like you would want your food to be considered . When you order from anywhere, make sure you check or watch them make your food. Now I have to recover for a few days because I was given food that my system cannot handle.
Update!!! To make matters worse theyāre defensive & wouldnāt give me a refund or a correct replacement. I didnāt cause them harm, they put my health at risk. Anytime a customer reports their true experiences & you respond like this..Who ever they had to reply was clearly in their feelings and is not an intelligent business owner. When they were contacted about the incident, they blamed the mistake on the evening shift crew and took no responsibility or accountability.If you really wanted to resolve the matter like a small business with integrity you simply would have said that vs being defensive & insensitive. I have a copy of the receipt & a picture of the burrito as they requested when the complaint was made in-personššthe next day about the incorrect burrito. Dietary Restrictions are nothing to play about. I have been a food reviewer for more than 15 plus years. Stop playing with mešÆ. Iām not the only patron that has reported having constant mistakes with their food from your establishment. Check your reviews. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a Torta with avocado, I received it to go and I have to walk 30 minutes home realizing at home I did not have avocado. The following day I went back and said I hadn't planned on buying another sandwich but since I didn't receive the avocado can you comp me the avocado and I'll pay the sandwich. All of a $1.25 comp. A different staff was on hand when I returned I had my receipt on my phone as I had ordered through the kiosk however that was not good enough. They begin to search receipts both in the register and the kiosk until they found it; this was cumbersome and unfortunate as I felt not believed for a $1.25 discrepancy when I'm actually giving them more money for a whole another sandwich, so I opted to leave.
About 2 weeks later I returned and ordered a torta again with avocado; no questions asked, didn't bring up the previous instance. I paid through the kiosk & when my order was ready I did not remember Gloria the worker right away, however when I picked up my order the 1st thing that Gloria says is we reviewed the cameras from my previous purchase and it appears you received your avocado. Once again this was a $1.25 discrepancy & about 2 weeks later.
I advised Gloria that if this is how I'm going to be treated each time I come in whether it's peeling through receipts for a $1.25 or 2 weeks later pointing out that they looked at cameras and believed I received my avocado then it's not worth it--this girl Gloria appears to be a know-it-all and for her it's more important to prove her point rather than servicing customers. Never once was I rude never once was I insistent on any sort of comp it was an ask regarding the avocado. However when you go out of your way to bring up something like this again 2 weeks later for a $1.25 it's very petty and disheartening Gloria is poor customer service & a very poor reflection on Ole Ole Burrito Express.
I should say that I eat a lot of tortas; there are other places that season significantly better, this particular place does not season as well however the location works and pre pandemic they were friendly. I haven't been there in a couple of years and if this is the treatment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I drove 2 hours for an appointment in Oakland. We chose Burrito Express Because it was near to our appointment. As I was ordering, no menu & pricing chart wasnāt visible (only a printed menu on a sheet of paper posted by the register-I couldnāt read it cuz I didnāt have my reading glasses on me). I saw the ātoday specialsā posted so I ordered 2 specials. My husband is disabled (wheelchair for mobility) and had to use the restroom. When he got to the restroom, a sign on the door posted āOUT OF ORDERā! UNSANITARY FOR A RESTAURANT TO OPERATE WITHOUT A USEABLE RESTROOM!!! When I asked the girl/cashier if my husband can use the toilet (itās an emergency), she acted like she didnāt understand me but she did say āNoā and turned around and continues onto her phone conversation (RUDE)!!! Kinda odd, because she understood my order loud and clear! I gathered my dry burrito and stale store bought chips (all went into the trash), my husband and hurried out Burrito Express, in hopes to find another business with a restroom that works (sadly, we didnāt find one)!! What also was disturbing to me (besides sitting there forcing myself to enjoy the burrito)was that drywall was peeping out at me from the walls in front of me and to the side of my table, yuck!!! I realized we had made a bad choice to walk-in and have lunch there!!! Not going back there ever!!! Oh well, with the other bad reviews and their lack of efforts to keep their business in tip top order (lack of customers is proof), they might not stay in business...
