I visited the Peet’s Coffee at Oakland Airport this morning (July 19) and had a rather unpleasant experience. The cashier an older woman who appeared to be fatigued was shockingly rude and dismissive. Her attitude was unprofessional and completely against the warm, customer-oriented image I expect from Peet’s. What struck me even more was their tip setup: not one, not two, but three tip containers (two metal cans and one wooden jar) prominently displayed with messages encouraging customers to tip. It felt more like begging than a genuine request for gratuity. This approach is outdated and disrespectful it makes it seem like employees are not being paid adequately and have to rely on tips to make ends meet. Peet’s Coffee needs to address this by: 1. Improving staff training so employees maintain professionalism—even during long shifts. 2. Ensuring fair compensation, so tipping isn’t pushed onto customers in such a conspicuous manner. 3. Reevaluating tip jar placement, to create a more respectful environment and uphold the company’s brand reputation. Until these issues are resolved, I can’t recommend this location. It doesn’t meet the standards Peet’s normally upholds.

Cashier was super nice! Lady making the coffee acted like she didn’t want to be there and overlooked my frappe order delaying my drink over 10 minutes while other customers received theirs. I had to ask about it just to get it made. Bacon and egg breakfast bagel was cold in the middle and not cooked all the way which is a bummer given it was $11.30 just for that, money down the drain. If I’m ever back at the Oakland Airport this is one place I wont be coming back to.

Worst branch ever! Ordered grab n go sandwich & drinks . I politely asked if they can warm my sandwich , straight face said NO. Another customer requested same to warm his sandwich and cashier acted as if she didn’t hear him. There’s no line and for a $16 sandwich is it too much to ask for it to be heated a bit ? Sure enough there goes all comments before me…. Never coming back to this branch.

Just to be clear this review is intended for the peets coffee stand next to gate 9 here at the Oakland Airport although this location does not seem to be on the map.

I waited in line for 30 minutes before my early morning flight and ordered a breakfast burrito. After waiting an additional 10 minutes for my food, I began to open my burrito. I noticed the plastic display tag stating what the burrito was had been melted as it was still attached when the burrito was placed in the toaster oven/microwave. Once I began eating the burrito, I realized that there were small flakes of plastic covering the surface of the burrito! At this point, the line was 20+ people long and I had to board my flight. This is absolutely unacceptable and it is now so far beyond a bad burrito as I am now sitting on my flight with no chance for food for the next 3 hours. I would like to share pictures of the plastic covered burrito but it...

Hi worst experience at a Pete’s coffee franchise I have ever experienced . zero stars. Employees here were miserable working at an airport and need more training in smiling being happy and loving customers and treating them with respect integrity and professionalism especially when the customer exerts positive A+ energy. The Pete’s coffee management at the Oakland airport need to take a look into screenining who they hire and train them with how to interact with customers and how to give them great service . If you are in customer service you are here to serve the public don’t act irritated when somebody places an order . Made purchases and no ice was given had to charge me for ice and fountain water when I asked for water to...
