Salted Holiday — Restaurant in Oakland

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Salted Holiday, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! From the moment I spoke with Alexandra, she was warm and inviting and that immediately made me feel at home.

Alexandra presented a wide variety of baked goods she offers, all beautifully presented and showcasing the skill and artistry for any event. It was clear that she took great pride in her creations, and it made choosing what to indulge in a difficult but enjoyable task.

I decided to try a few different items to get a taste of everything, and I was not disappointed. The selection of cakes was simply divine, with each slice offering a burst of heavenly flavors. The carrot cake was moist and packed with just the right amount of spices, and the chocolate ganache cake was pure indulgence.

The customer service at this bakery was exceptional. Alexandra is friendly, knowledgeable, and she was more than happy to assist me in making my choices. She was patient with my questions and provided great recommendations based on my preferences. It was evident that she genuinely cared about their customers' satisfaction.

Not only were the baked goods delicious, but they were also beautifully presented. Each item looked like a work of art, and I couldn't help but admire the attention to detail. It was evident that Alexandra put her heart and soul into her creations, and it truly showed in the final product.

11/10 stars if I could! The cake was gorgeous - everyone commented on how beautiful the cake looked and took pictures (I’ll update this with photos later). Even better than how it looked, was how it tasted! The person we were celebrating is Gluten Free and the cake was gluten free and vegan. I didn’t have huge expectations of the taste based on past experiences, but i would have had no idea. The cake was perfectly moist and dense snickerdoodle flavored. The icing had that perfect texture and was cinnamon sweet. It was amazing!

I live in Seattle and it was for a baby shower in Oakland. I was nervous because I’ve never ordered a custom cake before, I was doing it at a bakery I don’t know in a city I was visiting and needs it dropped off. Alexandra eased any worries I had and made the experience memorably wonderful.

The shower wasn’t going to help traditional - not a drop of pink or blue so I wanted to give some direction on what I was hoping for. I sent some images as a reference and Alexandra offered input to make sure we were aligned. She then created something that went with what I was thinking, but it was even more beautiful.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Salted Holiday’s 4-layer mandarin orange cake, and it was absolutely delightful. The cake looks stunning with four layers and beautiful mandarin orange whipped frosting. Each bite was incredibly moist and flavorful, striking the perfect balance between tanginess and sweetness. The texture was amazing with slices of mandarin and a smooth ganache filling between the layers.
