It started with our waiter, who spent entirely too much time hanging out in the kitchen rather than checking on his tables. In fact, the waitress at the next table checked on our table at least half the time we were there! Next, there were 3 people working in the kitchen on a busy Saturday night and the orders were coming out very slowly. I'm talking about drinks came about 10 minutes or so after we were seated, appetizer came about half an hour later, salads half an hour after that, then the entrees came out an hour after the salads! The waiter failed to check on us or the status of our drinks during this entire time. Thankfully, the waitress at the next table did! Now concerning the meal itself...the appetizer (spinach dip) and salads were delicious! As for the entrees, we were not impressed, to say the least. I had the twin crab cakes and grilled asparagus. I loved the asparagus, even though it was a little overdone. As for the crab cakes, I was expecting lump crab meat but it's not. That is my own fault for not asking. Lesson learned. My friends ordered Delmonico steaks, one medium and one medium-rare. Both came out well-done. Again, our waiter was MIA. The waitress at the next table asked us about our meal, so we explained about the steaks. She apologized profusely and asked if we wanted them redone. After finding out that it would probably take quite a bit of time to have them redone, we opted to not do so. She said she would have them removed from our bill, which was greatly appreciated. We also had received a round of drinks on the house due to our long wait time between the salad and entrees. Our waiter brought our bill but didn't even bother to come back to pick it up for payment! šŸ˜‘ Honestly, I would call ahead to see how busy they are (don't go if they are busy). Also, if you are placed at a table with a waiter, request a different table. It may seem sexist to say that, but he really wasn't cut out to...

Despite mixed reviews, we gave it a shot.

My party ordered a variety of items.

Creamy pesto Alfredo….low on flavor.

Crabcakes… call them MD style if you will…the cook must be from Louisiana.

Shrimp scampi…was dry and lacking overall. Lots of shrimp and no flavor.

The cream of crab soup was an orangish color and separating.

The crab topped mushrooms were fairly ok aside from being greasy.

The crab dip was the best overall from the things we tried.

They made some yummy garlic bread which was brought to our table long after the soup was gone.

I played it safe and ordered a burger. I kept it simple and asked for grilled onions, cheese, ketchup and mayo. The burger cane out with toppings I specified to omit, and the ketchup was not provided. Before she left the table I asked for ketchup.

I asked a few more times before it was ice cold.

After 30 minutes when my party was done their food I asked for a manager to have it taken off the bill since it was cold and I still did not have ketchup.

No apologies. Just excuses that she had some big parties.

If that was actually a manager, that explains the performance of the overall service.

Stephanie left the table piled up throughout the meal could not be bothered with taking away empty glasses, salad dishes and appetizer plates.

We could not get refills on our drinks and when two people in my party did they were not what they were drinking. Asked for the correct drinks which never came.

Our intent had been to celebrate the last day of our vacation and my husband’s birthday. I can tell you that I will never go there again. My recommendation is that you learn from my experience and...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I frequented Cornish Manor previously and was excited when someone new took over because Cornish went completely downhill.

Our server was very nice, but she didn’t seem knowledgeable of the menu and details at all. I ordered the red snapper, but questioned the sauce on it and she didn’t know and didn’t offer to figure it out. We waited 30 minutes with no bread service (plus 10 from the time being seated and ordering) for our appetizer. The crab dip WAS good and our drinks from the bar were tasty. Our server presented a special of the night, shrimp scampi. Great! A friend in our party ordered it. I asked the server’s opinion between the snapper and salmon, she said she hadn’t tried the snapper. End of conversation. Okay...so when our meals came, the ā€œshrimp scampiā€ was a red tomato base with peppers in it and it was spicy! The member of our party who ordered it can’t have spicy at all. She took a bite of the shrimp and immediately turned red, over heated, and blotchy. My snapper was sub par and I sent it back, still offering to pay my bill. The ā€œscampiā€ was comped. Another friend ordered crab cakes and every bite she took had shell in it. Another friend ordered the sirloin which came with fries and vegetables. She never received vegetables and the fries were dry and hard.

The experience was awful. The server should have presented the scampi for what it was and the table behind us also had issues. Seems there’s nothing new about this new ownership. Zero stars, do...

Class, wonderful taste, fantastic service, food is perfection. We stopped here randomly looking for a nice place to eat. I am so blessed we found this place. The old style Victorian house setting immediately sets the mood. We were seated in the covered porch section. With the stain glass light fixtures, beautiful single pane glass front porch, and wonderful seating arrangements, you'll definitely feel classy. My wife and I had the lobster bruschetta as a start, which was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Her quinoa was perfect according to her, and my blue cheese burger with lobster chowder was excellent. My burger was cooked to perfection. We were told the chefs favorite thing is cheesecake, so we had to try some. We got the creme brulee cheesecake was literally the best I have ever had. I let the waitress know my compliments to the chef. Please check this place out as it has definitely made it on my top 10.

This was a great find. The historic building had an amazing dining room with open windows on a beautiful spring day. We had the seafood potato skins which were awesome. The BBQ burger with onion straws had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The chicken sandwich with crab cake was ok. The crab cake was good but the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry. The crab soup was amazing though. Tasted like it had cognac and was very well balanced and flavorful.

Food was great, wait staff were attentive and friendly, and the location itself is classic. The specials were interesting, the herb crusted lamb was nicely done, fairly rare which some may not enjoy but I found quite flavorful. Parking is a bit awkward with the one way entrance and exit, and the signage is not illuminated, so GPS will be your friend on your first visit after sundown. Overall a nice dining experience.
