I have never in my life left a negative review, but this Panera earned it. I wish I could leave zero stars. This is not my first time ordering this order at this location. I ordered online yesterday 5/29/19 for 2 people to take to work with me. Soups and sandwiches with the 2 for whatever deal that also includes a French baguette. Also ordered 2 large teas. The total came to $24 and change. So when I arrived I had to fill my drinks, all of that is fine. But here's where it went south. After filling my drinks and asking for a drink carrier, I had NO WAY to carry out all my items. Then when I went to pick up my food to carry it out, soup leaked out of the bag very quickly, all down my left side. I was very lucky to not get burned. But when I opened my bag to see what had happened, my food was all ruined. I asked to speak with a manager, who saw with his own eyes that the soup lids were not completely on the bowls. So he remade my food and sent me on my way with NO attempt at trying to make amends for me wearing my soup. And they all watched me struggle to get the paper bag and 2 large drinks out the door. So I leave and go to work with soup all over me. My sandwiches were tiny, with almost no ingredients to them and my soup was basically just broth, and there was NO chicken at all. I didnt take a single bite. So I called them to get my money back on the grounds that it was just NOT 24 dollars worth of food. The manager, who identified himself as "Er" told me to come up and he would give me a refund and to bring all the food and drinks with me. So I told the other person to stop eating, and loaded everything back into my car and went up there again. Once the manager came out to the register, he took the food and threw it under the counter, probably the trash, then as I got my card out he told me they didn't need it and the refund was online. So essentially I could've been issued a refund without leaving my job for a second time. Then, as I'm getting ready to leave he asks me if I "want a pastry for the road". I'm sorry, but a pastry doesnt make up for me having hot soup run down my body, 2 trips to the location, a toddler's serving of food, my time, my fuel, the wear and tear on my car, or the incredible inconvenience and curt, insincere treatment. I hope I save someone else the trouble with this review, stay away, at least...
Read moreI chose this location because it's in Oakmont. The service I got leaves everything to be desired. I walked in and was first helped by Jake...who walked away mid-transaction. A girl walked up shortafter and ask if I'd been helped and finished the transaction. Everything seemed good and she walked away while barely mumbling some kind of thank you.
I sat down with all my things and then Jake came up to me and told me my card was declined after having started to serve someone else. Why didn't they wait to see that the transaction was COMPLETED?
So I got a hot tea and wasn't redirected at all to where the sugar or tea bags were for my tea. I asked a man who seemed to be the manager on duty for help and he told me where they were like it was totally obvious and started laughing with a couple staff nearby after I walked away. Still couldn't find it because his directions weren't clear and he came out, kind of annoyed, speaking louder and at a slightly slower rate, telling me where it was.
The people need to be more considerate and attentive to customers here. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a Panera....disappointing because the cafe is really nice....and Oakmont would be a great town for a cozy Panera. This place is a waste, in my opinion.
SEVERELY disappointed. SEVERELY.....there is no excuse for how...
Read moreIt's finally time to stop going here. First of all, Panera has decent food. However, it is exceptionally over priced. They feel they can get away with this BC they are a hip, liberal company. Their food is free of all the bad stuff they claim. But it tastes exactly the same. Anyway, the service is usually poor on top of that. It's like they go out of their way to hire bratty teens! Haha! It is usually dirty and there are bums sleeping in the booths while their phones and laptops charge. Recently I paid 16$ and change for 2 bowls of chicken noodle soup and 2 chocolate chip cookies. That is highway.. or excuse me.. Allegheny river boulevard robbery. To add insult to injury, the soup was mainly broth. It was high quality broth at least. Just done with Panera at this point. It's really my own fualt for continuing to go out of convenience. At least I don't have to pay $10 for a large bowl of lettuce with barely any thing else...
