Boulevard Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in Oakmont

I was walking through the streets of Oakmont when I stumbled upon this little sweet shop. The man inside of the shop informed me about all of the different flavors of fudge and other sweet treats which were being sold. You also have the option to try out some samples before you buy. Although all the truffles and chocolates looked delicious, today, I decided to just try the penuche fudge, peanut butter chocolate fudge, and the chocolate covered popcorn.

The penuche fudge was delicious, but also quite sweet (on the verge of being too sweet). When describing what the fudge tastes like, the shop owner said it is similar to a Werther's caramel. I agree; there is definitely a caramely taste. I tried a sample of the plain milk chocolate which was absolutely amazing. The triple chocolate fudge is also great and consists of white, dark, and milk chocolate.

The next fudge I got was the peanut butter chocolate fudge. It is made with Belgian milk chocolate (all the chocolate they use is Belgian). The chocolate flavor is perfectly sweet. The peanut butter flavor is strong and creamy. The texture is on point in both of the fudges. And, the price is quite reasonable with a 1/4 pound costing $5.

Finally, the chocolate covered popcorn was also great. A whole bag is just $3! The chocolate is by far the best part of this sweet treat. I believe it is the same high quality milk chocolate they use in their fudge. The popcorn itself was okay, but it was too buttery in my opinion.

All in all, I will definitely return to the Boulevard Sweet Shoppe. The service is friendly, there is a great sweet selection, and the flavors are quite good. When it comes to Oakmont sweets: get your baked goods at the Oakmont Bakery, and stop by the Boulevard Sweet Shoppe for candies, fudge, bark, and...

Unbelievable what this place can do. Seriously.

I was so Impressed with the cuteness of the pistachio, cashew, and Carmel, milk chocolate turtle...and when my bride-to-be tried a bite? Well...that's for me, but I can't stop thinking about a specialized cake decorated with all these amazingly tasty works of art!

We got one that had the special, so 15 custom options- that's huge for my lady. And one dedicated to the specialties. Then...since I like things in threes, I got a prepackaged one for her to give.

The extra box? She wants to share them with her besties when they come dress shopping 🥰

Fantastic all around, the owner is super friendly and the chocolates and fudge are extremely good.

The sad part is had we not driven past it and saw the sign we wouldn’t have know about it because of how it’s classified on google maps.

Nobody in my age group 30-35 is going to be searching for a sweet shop they are going to be searching for a chocolate shop. If this place updated its google presence and included chocolate in the business name or category I believe a lot more people would find this place and get to experience how great it is like my family did today
