Cafe Fleur De Lis — Restaurant in Oakville

I was very excited to come to this establishment after hearing so much from others about how nice of a shop it is. People didn’t lie about the environment; it is beautiful and decorated great. Unfortunately, no amount of gold accents can hide the fact that the service was subpar. I came in a few weeks ago and ordered a single crepe to dine in. It was not that busy at all, but the staff just never brought my food out until I said something… twice. The first time around, a waitress came by to ask if everything was okay and I told her I was still waiting for my crepe (20 minutes after ordering). She told me she’d see to it herself that it came out to me, and another 20 minutes pass by without her returning. I went back up to the counter and had to show my receipt to prove I had actually purchased a crepe and was just never served. At this point, I noticed a party of 3 (who all came in AFTER me and ordered more than me for dine ins) had all been served and already LEFT! Meanwhile, I was still waiting. I wasn’t offered any sort of refund or anything for the inconvenience, not even a plain and simple apology. This is especially unfortunate because I was looking forward to tell others good things about this little cafe and support their small business. But due to the service and lack of care/acknowledgement of their customers who purchase things off their overpriced menu, I will not be returning.

Stopped by for brunch and we were blown away by the options available! They had everything from crepes and waffles to breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast as well as a case full of delicious pastries! We ordered the waffles and were able to try some of their seasonal lattes as well. The cookie butter latte was absolutely delicious and super creamy, and their peppermint mocha was the perfect holiday drink! The waffles came out warm topped with fresh fruit as well as whipped cream and powdered sugar. They were so delicious and fluffy while not being overly decadent, the perfect treat! We loved everything from the food to the coffee to the adorable decor! They have the cutest art and neon signs as well as wonderful decorations for christmas! If you are looking for a cute coffee shop, but don't live in a city, search no more, you've found it at cafe Fleur de Lis. Everything is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is so cozy. I was able to get a wonderful hot mocha and a hardy sandwich for around 10$, so it's a great breakfast or lunch spot. It's a bit hidden in the plaza, but it's well worth it. The workers were also incredibly nice and helpful, and gave wonderful explanations of the menu. I went near Christmas time, and there is a cozy fireplace, and Christmas trees, and lights everywhere! The music was also a good volume to be in the background, which helped me stay focused while I worked on my laptop.
