I had been here before and it was decent, but this past experience was everything. I had a busy day, but I didn't want to eat bar food, so our reservation was for 9 PM on Friday, 04/15.

Location: I love the new location! The indoor and outdoor area is really nice and I absolutely loved all of the windows. Bonus of having actual, real baby succulents on the tables as decor. It just adds to that feeling like they put care into every detail. Dress is pretty casual.

Food: I'm pretty sure they also expanded their menu. We ordered the brussels sprouts as an app, I ordered the strip steak, my boyfriend ordered the power bowl with tuna, and we shared a bread pudding. It was all extremely delicious, even left over. Each dish really hit the spot and I was excited to eat more of it the next morning. I plan on ordering the exact same thing next time because it was seriously perfection.

Service: We were seated right away. The food got to our table surprisingly fast that I didn't even think about taking a picture of it! I did get a picture of the bread pudding and a (dirty) picture of the menu to share here (sorry). The wait staff was also extremely helpful and seemed to check up on tables that weren't their own. It was a nice change not having to feel like we had to constantly look around for service. At one point, I ended up dropping a glass and it shattered everywhere. It was the first time I had ever broken anything at a restaurant. I was so embarrassed and felt so bad knowing I wouldn't be the one allowed to clean up my own mistake, but our waitress was extremely sweet. I wish I would have gotten her name (she wore a red top Friday night, 04/15). The whole dinner was maybe 45 mins since we left before close.

Highly recommend! I will also add that I'm not paid or gifted anything for my reviews. I also never mention that I will be leaving a review. I'm just a person who works M-F, 9-5+, and...

Meh. After reading all of the reviews raving about how good the food is, I was really looking forward to eating here with my wife. When rating a restaurant, I take 4 things into account:

  1. Accessibility (ease of entry, handicap accessible, parking availability)
  2. Comfort/ambience (are the seats comfortable, can I see what I am eating)
  3. Is the help on the ball
  4. Food taste

To get 5 stars, they need to be firing on all cylinders. It doesn't mean they are fancy, it just means the food is great, the staff is polite and efficient and I am comfortable. Cellar House:

  1. Handicap Accessibility is a 4. Could be better, but not bad. 2). Comfort is 1. If you like setting in church pews, then this is your place. Half the seating is chairs, half is flat, hard bench seats. It's been a long time since I sat in worse seats at a restaurant.
  2. The staff is a 5. Polite, friendly, efficient. No complaints.
  3. Food is 3. I got lasagna, my wife got the crab cakes. The presentation of the food is great. It looks good. Flavor, not so much. The lasagna, which normally has some texture from the large noodles, was baby-food soft. The flavor has a burnt aftertaste, the spices were strong and the texture was mushy. My wife's Crab cakes were bland bland bland. They looked great, but had little flavor. I love crab cakes and order them a lot, so I am pretty familiar with them. I don't know if we went on a bad night or what, but I can't understand all of the 5 star ratings. Oh, the Strawberry Shortcake was...

The only complaint I have is that I couldn't rate higher that 5 stars! This was my boyfriend and my second time visiting and this time we invited his parents. They got there just after 7pm and Cellar House was packed. They were told there was a wait but they weren't sure how long it would be. Since we were running late, his parents told them that they'd just wait outside. Within minutes, someone opened the locked doors to Bottle Cellars (they closed at 7pm) and told them that they could wait inside. We got there and still needed to wait, but around 7:30 we were told by Patrick that he'd be more than happy to bring us a round of drinks from Cellar House and that he appreciated our patience. After a round of drinks he came back and apologized again, but the guests he thought were leaving just ordered another round of drinks and he didn't know when our table would be ready. He then offered to make a table for us to order dinner in the wine store! He pulled a table up and set it right there in the middle of the store! The food and serve were beyond amazing. The chef personally came out and cleared our plates and offered us dessert. I've been in the service industry for 12 years and this was beyond the most amazing customer service that I have ever encountered! Patrick was fantastic and patient and we never once felt rushed or like an inconvience. I am blown away and will make it a point to direct everyone I know to Cellar House and...

Do you want a good growth story, here it is! I ordered the lump crab cakes and found them to be pure crab with no fillers, accompanied by the salad featuring an olive citrus dressing and seared tuna. What a beautiful dish. This spot is a gem amongst the homogeneity of the suburbia chain obsession. Your reminder to shop and eat local. We like a good success story. November 2010, Bottle Cellars opened as a small wine shop committed to offering quality and affordable wines. Over time, it expanded its offerings to include cheese, whiskey, and craft beer. As demand grew, a cozy patio emerged, along with the introduction of wines by the glass and simple cheese and charcuterie boards. However, the desire for more from both customers and proprietors led to the birth of Cellar House in 2015—an adjacent wine bar. In 2020, time to grow again but now they have to move to their now home at 5634 Telegraph Road, just a mile from the original spot. Cellar House now offers dinner service, a spacious patio and a lengthy cocktail and wine list! Congrats!
