Hashtag Poke — Restaurant in Oakwood

I lived in Hawaii for nine years, and this is some of the best poke I've had since leaving the islands. The fish was of good quality, the add-ins were fresh, the sauces were tasty, and the portion for the price was better than a lot of other poke places I've been. I wasn't expecting much from a poke place in a small city in Georgia, but I was super happy and surprised with what I got.

The service was also excellent. I was greeted warmly by two separate employees, and the gentleman who made my food was incredibly kind and helpful. In case the food wasn't enough reason, I would come back because of the excellent customer service I received.

The inside is also really unique, with an anime mural covering one of the walls. And they have a drink cooler with Ramune!

I had the pleasure of trying this new place on Sunday with my mom. We got there before they opened and the open sign was already on even before 11. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted which was really nice. Everything was fresh. While my mom got steamed rice in her bowl, I got sushi rice which still took some time to prepare but didn’t take long at all. I felt the serving were really well proportioned and it allowed me to eat on my bowl all day and that was with three proteins. I also felt the price was extremely reasonable for how much you get, how many topping and garnishes you can get, etc. I also ended up getting a passion fruit tea with lychee as well as a cucumber juice and both were well made and delicious. I decided to give this new place a try, but the overall experience was quite basic. The poke quality is decent but unremarkable, and the price is too high for what you get, especially considering there are better value options nearby. The ordering process felt a bit awkward, possibly due to a language barrier, which I understand but could deter customers over time. On the positive side, the portions are good and the ingredients are fresh.

Edit: I'm reducing my rating to two stars after reading other reviews and seeing how the business responds to criticism. As a fellow business owner, their approach is disappointing and not how one should...
