The Feve is an Oberlin gem featuring quality bar food with a local flare. For this visit I enjoyed the Wellington burger and fresh cut fries. The burger was thick and cooked well to the point that it didn't have any moo but was juicy and tender. The chipotle mayo added a nice kick of flavor with a spice that was stronger than I was expecting, but not unpleasantly spicy. I appreciated that the seasonings did not deter from the natural flavors of the beef. Too many restaurants rely on seasoning to hide poor quality beef, but this is certainly not the case here. The fries were crispy and satisfying. I wish there had been a few more to enjoy however. The wait staff were very friendly. I knocked down one star because they had an odd change over and weren't serving food when we arrived around 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon. We had to wait for 20 ish minutes before they started taking orders and with the number of people placing orders all at the same time, we did wait longer than I would expect to get our food. I will say that they were moving food out of the kitchen at a brisk pace however. If you're in the area or passing through, I do recommend a stop at The Feve.

Second attempt at this place. The first time we didn't know weekends were brunch only and we left. So we decided we should really go back. We started with mac and cheese bites. They were okay. I did have to salt them myself because they lacked any seasoning. I ordered the cuban sans chimchurri mayo (a cuban without mustard?). The bread did not hold up. The Caribbean pork had some flavor that was so overwhelming I couldn't finish it. My husband ordered a burger , he said it was standard but not impressive. The tator tots and onion rings though saved the meal and the only reason this wasn't 2 stars. If you like good customer service, this place isnt for you. Everyone but one person seemed miserable and it translated to their service. We waited 40 minutes for our food without so much as a "sorry for your wait" or "let me check" from the bartender. We wouldn't recommend and we won't be back.

Food was good fresh cut fries were not hot but luke warm but edible, alittle on the pricey side waitress was attentive but she was running around being it was so busy. It has a brunch menu that changes daily and an upstairs, only thing really bad about it the stairs going down to the basement to use the restroom are extremely dangerous for someone older because of how steep they are. And at bottom of stairs you a have a toliet on either side with a wash basin in middle. I understand it's an old building but I think who designed this needs to create a safer staircase. Not sure it had railings.

Over my four years here, I’ve dined at your restaurant many many times with friends and always tipped fairly (15% for lunch, 20% for dinner). However, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing due to poor communication and ridiculous server’s behavior.

On my last visit (Saturday), I called in an order for a cheeseburger with everything on top, but when I picked it up, I only received a plain cheeseburger. The price I was going to be charged was $15.67, which is for the full burger with toppings, it’s not what I had ordered and the price isn’t correct. When I tried to speak with staff at the counter to pay also fix the mistake, no one acknowledged me. Two staff told me to wait and then walked away without making any eye contact. After waiting a long time with no help, I just left without resolving the issue. I was there for so long and tried my best to pay but ironically nobody had responded.

Today, I went to the restaurant and placed an order in person for takeout. When I pulled out my phone to pay using Apple Pay, the same waitress who took my order told me I was “good to go” and walked away before I could complete the payment. Based on her words, sure, I started to walk to the exit with everything like the last time, the server really didn’t want to accept my payment???

However later, sarcastically I was confronted by another staff member who accused me of not paying twice and even suggested that I was trying to avoid payment because I am graduating soon and left. This assumption was ridiculous, unfair, and completely unreasonable. The problem clearly lies with your server’s actions, attitudes and communication, not with me.

I want to emphasize that I have always been a honest customer. I paid for both meals today, today and the last visit, I don’t owe this restaurant anything, even though the server told me I didn’t have to paid the last time because he couldn’t find the receipt. I still paid including the payment of the last time and everything in the tip. He is very happy and said that I am good? Lmaoo. However I believe it is part of my responsibility to take care of my payment and I never tried to avoid or ditch the payment, who is gonna chanlleng the morality with 25 bucks total😂? Not me🤷🏻‍♀️ your restaurant server just simply don’t wanna take my payment. Brought a loss to the restaurant and trying to pass the buck on me? This whole experience is just so stupid sarcastic😂. If you are too busy, just hire more waitresses instead of ditching your job responsibilities.

However it reflects a serious breakdown in communication and professionalism among your staff. It’s not my fault at all and I believe that I do not deserve to be labeled or treated unreasonably. The manager should addresses these issues so other customers don’t have to face similar problems, or whatever how this small town...

Beautiful venue. Friendly and professional staff. Been here twice. The tater tots are amazing as well as the fries. Unfortunately, the burger was awful. It was overcooked when I received it. I asked for the burger medium rare when ordered. Now I'm not a big stickler about this. If it was just well-done I would have gladly eaten it. Medium rare is just my preference. However, the burger was quite dry and tough. It was so dry the outside of the burger was dull and matte. But no worries, I decided to mention it to the server which is a first for me at any restaurant. The server promptly told the kitchen, and they had another burger out within 3 minutes. Crazy fast. I was very excited, and the burger was dripping in juice.

Unfortunately, again there was a problem. This burger was VERY raw. And the way it was brought out, it almost seemed if it was raw on purpose. Now I'm giving benefit of the doubt. My best friend who took me here speaks extremely highly of this establishment, and his food looked great. He said this has never happened. I didn't return the second burger, nor mention it to the server Guapo. However, I could not eat it. It was physically cold in the middle. So I paid the bill and we left. I will return next time I'm in town and hope that we go there, because I want to see if it was a one time thing. My friend and I suspect it was an off night for whichever chef was working tonight around 8:30 pm.

My reccomendation, check the meat before you eat. Otherwise, a...

I typically have had wonderful experiences at your establishment and have often rated it five stars, but unfortunately, I can not say the same for our recent visit.

We made a reservation for our party for pm, and we were assured that accommodating our group would not be an issue. Upon our arrival, we patiently waited for over an hour, which we did not mind as it gave us an opportunity to catch up with one another. However, we were then informed that we needed to split into smaller groups, which was not our initial plan, but we complied. Subsequently, we were further divided into four groups, adding more confusion to the situation.

To exacerbate matters, one of our groups was seated considerably later than the others. After being seated, they were informed that there was no server available to assist them. Regrettably, after waiting for 15 minutes without any service, they had no alternative but to leave and dine at another restaurant.

The quality of food served to us was satisfactory, although some of us received cold dishes, which was quite disappointing given the overall experience we had that evening.

I understand that managing a large group on a busy Saturday can be challenging, but I urge you to reconsider accepting reservations if you are unable to handle them effectively. It is crucial to provide each guest with a pleasant and seamless dining experience, irrespective of the size of...
