Bella Cosa just put Ocala Palms Golf and Country Club on the MAP! If you enjoy delicious quality food prepared to perfection, excellent service, warm welcoming atmosphere, then Bella Cosa is for you. We are exceptionally impressed with Felix our server. Felix listens to you, he's not just an order taker and server. Felix knows his clientele, he knows the menu, and the design of dishes. He has a plethora of photos on his cell phone if you undecided or want a look at the finished product. Felix is an excellent marketer, and will answer any questions, plus he's most knowledgeable. The level of quality is consistent, the chef uses fresh, high quality products and today that is key. Often times the owner is consumed with the bottom line profits and will serve less quality products, so we appreciate the owner putting clientele before profits. Another crucial factor is cleanliness and that plays a huge roll in where we choose to eat. There are many restaurants in Ocala listed in the Ocala Star Banner that are in violation of health inspections. Bella Cosa is owned and operated by a quintessential professional with solid core values and high ethics. The only thing that I would add to this first class restaurant would be; Italian music. During dinner, we found a hair in one of the dishes. When we asked to speak with the manager, the owner himself came out. Instead of showing concern or professionalism, he was arrogant and dismissive, immediately stating he would not remove the item from the bill — even though we had never brought that up. We asked to speak with the manager to address his staff’s indifferent attitude toward the situation. They showed no urgency or concern about the hygiene issue and even insisted we take a dish to go, despite us making it clear we didn’t want anything else. The owner then had the audacity to accuse us of asking for another meal, when it was his own staff who insisted we do — even though we repeatedly explained we didn’t. The owner didn’t want to hear any feedback on his staff or dish that went against his opinion and walked away. We happened on this place as it was close to where out of town friends were staying. When we entered a subdivision I started doubting, then when I saw it was in a golf club I was wearing it would be a mistake. Surprise!! The food and service fabulous. My Rigatoni Siciliano was great. Pieces of eggplant, mushrooms and tasty Italian sausage in a marvelous sauce so tasty and abundant! My husband's Spaghetti Puttenesca was also flavorful and generous. I have never actually seen him eat an entire spaghetti portion before. Our friends enjoyed the Gnocchi which she custom ordered to her preferences. Meatballs, chicken Parm all done well. Warm bread looks homemade.. yum. Even the salad both their house and Caesar was flavorful. I'm sorry no pics, they did not come out right.
