Black Sheep On Broadway — Restaurant in Ocala

This is one review I had previously written but never posted .... We, my wife and I, had heard the food here was great and the service was fun so came in for a quick bite.... We have since read the reviews and come across a common complaint about odors in the place. As a former General Manager of numerous clubs, restaurant/bars and Part Owner of half dozen Adult Entertainment Clubs the smell is a common issue. The older the building the worse the smells. The majority of the time it has less to do with cleanliness but rater vents, flooring, pipes, and out dated toliets and urinal flooring. The trick is to find the right mixtures of power scent blockers (as in Vegas) rater then common bleach and over the counter cleaners. Imagine our surprise when we got seated and found out it was "alternative" night.... I was ready to go but my wife convinced me to say by saying: Whst the hell we are already here". Most of the show was ridiculous to me.. unattractive impersonators acting but mingling in the crowd was a whole different ball game. I never knew actual men could end up looking and acting the way some of them were.... the night got more "entertaining" by the "people" in the crowd than the people on the stage.... We ended up staying until late and had a great time..... I'm a straight man married to a straight woman and if we can deal with it almost...

We visited The Black Sheep in Ocala with my family and were disappointed by the service. There were two young ladies working, and it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, my son's order was incorrect. The staff never checked on us, forcing me to look for them three times—once for napkins, once for a drink refill that never came after a 30-minute wait, and finally to request my son’s burger to-go because of the delay. When the bill arrived, we were overcharged for three expensive burgers even though only I ordered one. When I questioned the charge, the server said it was the only way she could ring it up and was dismissive when I asked for a manager who never appeared. It was almost 10 pm by then, and with my son needing to sleep, I just paid the extra charge after they offered a small $4 discount, which didn’t cover the full difference. The whole experience made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.

The worst part is to have them acknowledge that my son and wife order the basic burger and still be told that they would charge us for the more expensive one. I have never in my life heard of a restaurant show you prices and then charge you more just...

I went for the burlesque show last night, the show was pretty awesome, we didn't stay for the whole thing because our service was horrendous. Being a bartender I still tipped 20% which I really should not have at all honestly, but man some people like to go out spend some money and have a good time. We came in, sat at the bar, I was approached automatically for a drink, my friend had went to the restroom, when she came back to sit down we waited about 15 mins at least before she was offered or approached for anything. After that we waited 45 mins before we were even asked if we wanted food, or anything. I got the steak, rare, came out medium. I didn't even want to say anything about the steak cause my service and experience was already horrible from the beginning. I asked one girl to grab our bartenders attention, she did, and I watched as the bartender waved us off. After that our service of course even went more down hill. I don't mind spending money but I'm not going to sit somewhere I can't get...
