Pull up my order. I was charged $21.99 for the Alfredo plus 5.99 for chicken. Looking through the reviews I’m not the only one who disliked the frozen chicken. You must have us confused because my “boyfriend” (actually brother)did not even have stuffed shells! Way to place judgment and assume while trying take make a discriminatory jab! I was going to say something but our waitress already seemed to be offended with us asking if there was bread that wasn’t stale. I did eat the majority of the pasta but all of the chicken aside from the one piece I tried as left in the bowl. But it’s ok blame the customer and don’t take accountability for the quality of your food. I can’t imagine what the up-charge would have been to change it to fried chicken.

Staff and service was good, however the food is a little less desirable. Knots were pretty dry and bland even after getting new ones brought out to us. Chicken Alfredo was not very good at all. Chicken is frozen cutlets out of bag and was absolutely disgusting. If you’re going to charge $28 for an entree like that, at least use fresh chicken. Server asked if I wanted a Togo box for the chicken that was nasty and I said no I didn’t like the chicken. She said oh ok and brought the bill charging $6 extra dollars for frozen chicken and charged $21 for pasta Alfredo that says $15 on the menu. Prices are a lot more on the bill than they show on the menu. I understand food costs are continually rising but it’s a pretty big difference between menu prices and the bill. Thought we may have found a new “go-to” place from the initial vibe of coming in, but not sure we will...

My favorite pizza in town! I know every Italian pizza place boasts at having the best pizza, but Formaggio's is surely an addiction! I eat here at least once a week! It's all about the cheese! They have the best tasting cheese blend, perfect amount of sauce and a New York style crust that's thin and pliable, but also a little crispy on the bottom! Their ingredients are always fresh, I typically order pepperoni with freshly grated garlic in top. The pepperoni are large like freshly sliced deli size! If you're a pepperoni lover, you have to try it. My boyfriend typically orders meatball and ricotta on his half of the pizza, they actually use their homemade meatballs and slice them up (not like the processed crumbled nonsense at most places). They have lots of interesting toppings to choose from (like eggplant if you're a vegetarian). I've also had their chicken parmesan and homemade lasagna, both were fantastic classic Italian dishes with good portions, the pasta is Al dente like it should be, unlike some other places where it's mushy. Not to mention their garlic knots and Greek salad... Everything is just so fresh and tasty! It's a great little family owned local spot, I guess the word is getting out because they moved to a bigger storefront (still in the same plaza, only a few doors down). If you're in Ocala you should definitely stop by, they also sell pizza by the slice....

If you're searching for a new pizza spot in Ocala, Formaggio Pizza and Italian Restaurant should be at the top of your list! After Sans Pizzeria changed hands and lost its charm, I found myself craving a place that could deliver both exceptional flavor and that authentic Italian experience. Formaggio exceeded all expectations.

The pizza at Formaggio is a delight for the taste buds—loaded with vibrant, mouthwatering flavors and a perfectly crisp crust. Every bite bursts with the kind of rich, savory goodness that makes you fall in love with pizza all over again. And don’t even get me started on the dessert; it’s a true standout, with a depth of flavor that rounds off the meal beautifully.

What truly sets Formaggio apart is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner personally checked in on us, adding a personal touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The restaurant exudes that classic Italian family vibe that reminds me so much of my hometown in Connecticut.

For anyone looking for fantastic food and a genuine, inviting atmosphere, Formaggio Pizza and Italian Restaurant is a must-visit. It's my new go-to pizza place in Ocala, and I highly...

First time ordering food from here as we are visiting for a few days. I placed an order to go. The moment I walked in I was greeted with a warm hello and a friendly face, the lady at the counter took my order of Baked meatballs with pasta, anti-pasta with vinegar and oil, and their 12" pepperoni pizza ( that I asked for slightly well done) The baked meatballs were great, a little to much baked on cheese however the meatball's were great, well seasoned, tender and flavorful. The sauce that comes with it was hearty and bold and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly...there was a great combination of meatballs, sauce and pasta...just a little to much baked on cheese. The anti-pasta was wonderful, fresh and very well laid out. The pizza...it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either...the dough was a little to thin, dense and lacked flavor due to I believe it being.to dense. Other then that it was fine...we were hoping for a more NY style type of pizza. We really enjoyed everything especially the baked meatballs dinner and anti-pasta. Overall a big 4 star rating for customer service and the food. We would definitely be back to try other dishes! I would recommend this place to a friend.

Severely overrated pizza, I ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza, anti pasta salad and a slice of cheesecake. The pizza is sadly not authentic Italian. Italian pizza is hand stretched, hand tossed, hand-made this is not. True authentic Italian pizza makers use real "00" flour and fresh yeast, this pizza has enriched bleached flower and the crust is thinner than the pizza box it came in and more then likely is premade (frozen). The Antipasta salad was good and the cheesecake was ok. Pizza restaurants should be ashamed to say they are the best and authentic when clearly they are not. A great pizza has great ingredients and is handmade not pre-made. If you want a great tasting pizza then please look elsewhere. I have attached photo's.

The food was average. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. We, 4 guests, had shrimp alfredo, stuffed shells, lasagna, and a meatball calzone. I really hoped the food were going to be good because I love Italian food and in our town we need good restaurants. Unfortunately the overwhelming response from my geusts was a collective...it was OK. The marinara sauce is sweet. The alfredo had to be the low point; lacked flavor, richness, cheese, it was bland. Olive garden beats that "authentic" alfredo in a heartbeat. The service was excellent, location is good, and the owner was sincere.
