This is my second time attending a concert here. The first time was wonderful, but I was about 7 rows back from center stage. Last night I thought I'd try the balcony. What a MISTAKE. Even though I was only 3 rows back from the rail, all I could see was the guy's head in front of me. That's because the seats in the balcony are not staggered. The person in front of you absolutely blocks your view of the stage. BTW, the seats in Orchestra are staggered, so there's reduced obstruction. Furthermore, the seats in Orchestra are roomy enough to cross your leg. The Balcony seats are so cramped you sit in a "Lincoln" pose for the entire concert. Thank Odin for the one break where you can stand and stretch. I was hurtin'. There was no way to cross your leg much less even MOVE. One final issue: Theater management must be required to keep the overhead lights on after the performance begins to assist latecomers staggering in to their seats. They kept the lights on for 15 minutes, albeit at a reduced intensity. Still, the overhead, white LED lights overhead were painfully glaring. And if you're in the Balcony, it feels like you're getting sunburned. The gentleman who led me to my seat said he preferred the Balcony. "Best seats in the house," he said. Yeah! If you can sit in the row next to the rail. I will not make the Balcony mistake again, believe me. That was...
Read moreIf you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Ocala, the Reilly Arts Center is a must-visit. This top-notch theater offers the perfect blend of comfort, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere for enjoying live concerts and events. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff stood out for their friendliness and efficiency, ensuring that our arrival was smooth and hassle-free.
Before the show, we had the chance to enjoy a delicious cocktail at the bar, allowing us to relax and soak in the unique vibe of the venue. The facilities are spotless, especially the restrooms, which reflect a high level of care and cleanliness.
The sound quality in the concert hall is exceptional. During the tribute band performance to The Doobie Brothers, we sat in Row N of the orchestra section, where the acoustics and view of the performance were perfect. The seats are incredibly comfortable, allowing us to enjoy the event with complete ease throughout the show.
Additionally, the parking and security experience was seamless, adding an extra layer of convenience to our visit. The quality of the event, combined with the impressive infrastructure of the Reilly Arts Center, makes this theater highly recommended for those seeking to enjoy live music concerts and ballet in Ocala. I would not hesitate to return for...
Read moreThis is a great venue for music! The sound was absolutely perfect, and we were sitting about halfway back on the floor. I would bet money that every seat in the house has great sound.
We went to see the official Glenn Miller Orchestra, and loved it! Excellent musicians who stay true to the original Glenn Miller arrangements! They play gigs at over 200 places a year, so you can be sure they don't miss a note! If you like great music played by one of the great bands in existence today, go see the Glenn Miller orchestra wherever you can. Hopefully they will return to the Reilly Arts Center! By the way, there is plenty of free parking, and a nice park around the area so if you go early you can walk around the park. We even saw a stork for the first time, while we were there! My one criticism is the price of drinks. Paying $9 for a glass of wine from a $5 bottle seems like Gouging. That comes out to about $31 profit per bottle or about a 600% markup. I think that $5 a glass would be much more appropriate and fair! Another venue very similar to this one only...
