A Taste of Paradise at Tropical Delight!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tropical Delight, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! This cozy restaurant quickly became my go-to spot for a taste of paradise.

The beef patties at Tropical Delight are simply heavenly. Bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned, they're a true treat for the taste buds. The flaky crust adds a delightful crunch, and each bite is filled with juicy, savory goodness. Trust me, you won't be able to resist going back for seconds!

Now, let's talk about their chicken. Oh my, it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth! The chicken is tender and succulent, and the curry sauce is rich and fragrant. It's the perfect balance of spices, and it leaves you wanting more with every bite. And don't even get me started on their rotti – it's warm, fluffy, and the ideal accompaniment to soak up all that delicious curry sauce.

What truly sets Tropical Delight apart from other restaurants is their exceptional service, which makes you feel like part of their family. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that immediately puts you at ease.

The staff at Tropical Delight are more than just servers – they're inviting, genuine, and real people who truly care about your dining experience. They create a welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable and valued. It's evident that they take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy what they do.

If you're looking for a little taste of the tropics, look no further than Tropical Delight. With their mouthwatering beef patties, delectable curry chicken, and comforting rotti, they'll transport you to paradise with every bite. And with their warm and friendly service, you'll feel like you're dining with family. Don't miss out on this hidden gem – it's a true...

Final edit: I stopped by the store to ask for Heather and she apologized for the experience I had with the food and offered a different meal which she suggested jerk chicken, rice and peas and macaroni cheese as the a popular option. She allowed me to sample to jerk chicken prior to serving me the meal and even added a patty to make up for the troubles. The meal today was significantly better than in the past. I would give them another shot just on the customer service and willingness in store to make things right. Clean store, good people.

Second time trying here tried to give the benefit of the doubt after ordering oxtail the first time and receiving giant slabs of oxtail damn near the whole tail. Today ordered curry goat ZERO FLAVOR ZERO SEASONING, GRAVY LEAKING EVERYWHERE AND WORST IT WAS A MIX OF CHICKEN AND GOAT NOT CURRY GOAT. Good friendly people but the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Edit: I'll retract my comment on good friendly people based on your response. No authentic Jamaican restaurant serves oxtails the way you do. The meal was served to go and taken 30 minutes away to be eaten at what point was I as a first time guest to look into a crystal ball and know the food would be served so horribly. THE CURRY GOAT WAS A MIXED PLATE WITH CHICKEN MIXED WITH GOAT. Acknowledge where your food is bad and make appropriate changes do not deflect on your paying customers as if they are at fault for your terrible cooking. Gave you all the benefit of the doubt after the first horrendous meal hoping things would have gotten better and your response made the experience even worst. You could marinate that food for 30 days if there is no flavor in the marinade it would still be flavorless which...

If you're looking for a true taste of Jamaica, this restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The owners are incredibly kind-hearted and truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their generosity and welcoming nature shine through in every interaction, and it's clear that they care deeply about their customers. As for the food—wow. Every dish was bursting with flavor, made with care, and served in generous portions. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, and the Rasta pasta was the perfect complement, cooked to perfection. The oxtail was tender, rich, and flavorful, with the kind of melt-in-your-mouth goodness you can only get from a truly homemade meal. Each bite was a reminder of the care and love that went into preparing it. The service was exceptional and they made sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our meal. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food made with love, incredible service, and a warm, family-like atmosphere, this is the spot. It’s an experience you won’t forget, and I can’t wait to...

I recently visited Tropical Delight in Ocala and was impressed by how clean and neat the restaurant looked upon entering. The menu was easy to read, though a few items were missing. The ordering process was quick and smooth, and I was told my jerk chicken meal with roti would take about 10 minutes. To my surprise, it was ready in just 5 minutes, although the restaurant wasn’t too busy at the time. Once I got home, the food was still piping hot and smelled incredible. The jerk chicken was exceptionally tender, falling right off the bone with amazing flavor. I almost didn’t want to share it with my wife—I’m generally a sharing person, but sometimes there are exceptions! The rice was perfectly portioned and packed with flavor. The only downside for me was the cabbage. It had a bit too much oil, which transferred onto other parts of the meal, slightly affecting the overall taste. Packaging it separately would have likely fixed this issue. The roti, on the other hand, was soft, hot, and had a nice general flavor with a hint of spice. Overall, I give this meal a solid 4.9 out of 5.0 stars and will definitely be back. My total came to just over $22, which felt reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

Yal look at the picture & lower reviews everybody is not lying. Quality of food is downhill since the Jamaican chef died from Covid. Heather lies she tries to cook the food and is Caucasian. My husband is Jamaican and was offended by the food & it’s poor presentation. Not worth time or money. She literally came out of the kitchen & stated her stepfather was Caribbean since this is probably her on the reply GIRL U CANNOT COOK THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE U PUT BROWNING SAUCE ON CURRY CHICKEN using canned veggies and slimy cabbage GIRl BYE u & ur food FRAUD like I said 🤢🤮 u might have the right cooks now but don’t EVER disrespect their culture again with ur tasteless cooking. No accountability she got an excuse for every bad review! Go to Diddys in Marion Oaks yal anywhere but here! I only tried it once and NEVER WENT BACK after this photo and I updated so they could see the photo!

I’m moving to the area and stopped by with my husband and daughters to get some halal food while we look around for houses. Let me tell you all something….this is by far the BEST food I’ve ever eaten in my life. The flavor, the serving size was just out of this world! It is hard to find this kind of food and this place is going to be the reason we move. I don’t think I want to cook again lol. The staff was so attentive and nice and made us feel so welcome. It gave me such a good feeling about the city overall. I’m sure the entire menu is delicious but you guys need to try the oxtail with rice and peas, the stew chicken, jerk chicken , and don’t forget dessert! They have the tastiest lemon cake and coffee cake all made fresh in house. We dined in and it was very cozy, well kept, and clean. I’m counting down the days till we move and I will be back very soon for more!
