Ocala Fresh Produce — Restaurant in Ocala

Ordered lunch and it took TWO HOURS to get delivered after placing our order at 10:20 am to give enough time to be delivered for lunch break. The food shows up at 12:17pm when lunch break is over. Told them we wanted our money back because it was to late to be able to sit down and each the salad (which was all warm from sitting for 2 hours). Was told we would get our full money back they took my salad back and said we would get refunded back our money. Now another 3 hours have passed and the delivery driver brings me a 20% off code for my next order tells me I will not get my money back and that the owner took the money out of his paycheck as well. So not only do you have my salad, my money but his as well? Never a phone call from a manager apologizing for anything. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I will NOT use your 20% off code as I refuse to give you my business ever again!

Update: since I can’t reply to your comment. When your driver showed up he NEVER told me I would get a free salad as a refund AND a 20% code. He told me you refuse to give any refund to us. And yes we did try to call many times but your phone message says you do not except phone messages. Yes I did not want my food because it was warm and nasty. And he never admitted to us that he was running late at the time of delivery. Any other Friday or other days that we have ordered from you we have never had...

I should be ashamed for having visited this place so often and not given them a 5 star review because that is the type of experience have very time I am here. Many restaurants complicate things but this place just nails the service they offer to a T. Daily special on the wall, soup of the day on the wall, plenty of menus on the counter and amazing personality at the register to truly make the experience. I have likely had 85%+ of the menu and do not have an item I wouldn’t have again and again. Their speed the get you served whether dining in or on the go meets even my extremely volatile and busy schedule so do your self a favor and don’t skip lunch because of “no time”. Ocala Produce is the 1 stop shop for lunch on the fly, lunch with a group, healthy lunch, greased to perfection hot pressed lunch, soups for the cold days and many homemade sides to finish the lunch off to perfection. It's owned by the same people as Ocala Downtown Diner which has fantastic breakfasts. I had a Cuban which was soggy since it sat for a more than a few minutes and just OK. They were ridiculously busy and there's no parking. It's a place where you place your order at the counter and either wait (sometimes outside) or take a seat in their dinning room & your food is brought to you. Very casual and very popular. The day I was there, there was 1 girl at the counter and the poor thing was going crazy with orders, people ordering and then serving as well. This is not a good set up for people who are 1st timers going to a place at all and did I mention the parking...OMG.
