I'm the kinda person that will wait a while before I "experience" a new restaurant, store, etc. So, I've been to this Wawa 3-4 times now over the course of the last few months and I must say that out of everything there is to Like or Dislike about Wawa, the one thing that stands out amazingly enough, is the random people!, In-towners, Out-of-towners, Bikers, Business men/women, Drunks, Tweekers, People hung over, People walking dogs, dogs that walk people, EVERYONE lol All in one small store throughout the course of the day and at the same time. Its, Amazing! I have witnessed, Abraham Lincoln make himself a coffee and leave while wearing full gym gear and a towel around his neck. The food "they prepare for you when you use the touchscreen displays" is pretty good, Better than Subway w/much more variety, everything else is just your typical gas station. I did download their mobile application and within a week or so my account was somehow hacked into. So please be careful. So the "Hot" foods are Cool, the gas station works Fine, but, The random gathering of everyday people from all walks of life at random moments in life is Priceless! I have to try some other Wawa's and see if all Wawa's have a similar effect or it just a natural phenomenon...
Read moreUpon ARRIVAL, I politely asked the DELI WOMAN with black hair (who I wish to keep name anonymous, for privacy) if there were any SALES on sandwiches. she ROLLED HER EYES at me and impolightly stated TO READ THE SCREEN! I WORKED a 16 hour high-risk JOB and just simply wanted a bite to eat. As I walked around the STORE, I over-heard her COMPLAINING about CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT! I was too tired to ARGUE, so I politely WAITED as I saw my FOOD on the COUNTER PAID IN FULL! she TOSSED the sandwich and walked AWAY. For a DELI associate, I felt that my FOOD was not made with PROPER PRECAUTIONS due to her obvious INPUT on this WAWA LOCATION and LACK RESPECT for individuals who DO PAY for a meal. I will NOT be returning to this location, LOCATED NEXT TO A HOSPITAL! I gave it the benefit of the DOUBT in the beginning due to understanding of what SHE may be going through, BUT as a PAYING CUSTOMER, who simply wanted a MEAL, it was HIGHLY inappropriate and I ate MY meal WITH PRECAUTION. I DOUBT CORPORATE will HANDLE this SITUATION correctly, WHICH is WHY I am USING my BEST JUDGEMENT in this SITUATION. Re-training AND proper REDIRECTING for said INDIVIDUAL should be the NEXT...
Read moreI'm a regular customer at the Maricamp, the east and west sides of 40, and especially the Pine Avenue locations. I love the convenience of ordering online and through the app, and I'm a big fan of your menu. The thick, cookie-filled milkshakes are a favorite, as are the fries, wraps, and sandwiches.
However, I recently had a frustrating experience at the Pine Avenue location. I placed an online order for curbside pickup and waited for nearly 10 minutes without anyone bringing my order out. When I finally went inside, I tried to get the attention of the beverage associate to let her know I was waiting. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to be paying attention. When I repeated myself, she gave me a curt "I'm sorry," and then, after I said it again, simply stated, "We are behind."
Fortunately, the manager stepped in and completely turned the situation around. He was extremely professional, quickly made my drinks himself, and apologized for the wait, explaining that the store was short-staffed. His exceptional customer service saved the experience. I belive his...
