Blitz's Market — Restaurant in Ocean City

My family and I have bewn coming to OC for years and every day that were here we prder from Blitzs for our lunches. Everytome we get our food its wonderful. Unfortunately, the service is WILDLY inconsistent. Today we tried to call ahead to place our order as we always do, but no one was picking up the phone after multiple attempts. We figured that the phones may have just been down at the time so we decided to drive over to place our order in person. It was quite busy and clearly understaffed as usual. To test a theory of mine that they were simply ignoring phone calls, I decided to give them a call while waiting in line. The phone began to ring in the store and a young associate stated "It's the same guy calling, should we answer it?" To which another associate stated that "this guy is crazy." My call was left to ring for nearly 2 and half minutes at which time the line disconnected. I placed my order in person without informing the staff ot what had occurred for fear of further poor service since my order had been placed.

Sadly this isn't the first time we've had issues with the service, over the past 3 days items have been missing from our orders which we would have to inform the staffs of to actually get all of our food. Personally, I am of the opinion that it may be beneficial for the store to have at least one supervisor over the age of 18 on staff at all times, since it appears the teenagers who typically run the store have no interest in quality control or customer service.

I hope that this review is heard by the management and that these issues are addressed. Any response or feedback from the owners would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

**Edit While waiting for my order to be cooked, three additional phone calls have been ignored, and there are currently only 2 other patrons in line.

Really good Deli! They offer GF bread and kaiser rolls! I asked if the fries were gf and the kid was like "idk what are the ingredients in a French fry" I just said nevermind but I heard someone explaining to him about shared fryers when I was paying. I still don't know about the fries. I do believe some people there understand gluten allergies, I hope they train the staff. All in all great food and I will make this a regular stop...

This is our favorite, favorite place to come and get takeout when we vacation in Ocean City. We were dreaming of your sandwiches for over a year and ordered dinner tonight as soon as we came into town. Our food was worth the wait—fried chicken sandwiches, the Big Z and Blitz Blatt (wrapped in lettuce) with a cute little Shrivers surprise!
