Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ocean Township

So I went to this place for the first time and I ordered a Lunch special (Broccoli w/ garlic sauce) which comes with a choice of rice and soup. Now the lady asked me if I wanted pork fried rice with my meal and I said “No, I want plain white rice, no meat”. Then she asked me what kind of soup I wanted and I said Hot & Sour soup because I know from general knowledge that normally Hot & Sour soup doesn’t have meat inside it (however at this restaurant they put Pork in their Hot & Sour soup)

Given the fact that I had already mentioned to her that I choose the plain rice instead of pork fried rice. She could have mentioned to me that I the Hot and Sour soup has meat inside it. Not only that this restaurant was completely empty during lunch time and they still took 20 minutes to make my food. Normally they take 10 to 12 minutes max.

Horrible service and stupid staff. I wouldn't even give it any stars. Never going back...

Always a great place for Chinese comfort food. Service is always fast and friendly. The food is fresh and has a great price point.

Pros: Sesame Tofu is not only yummy but the tofu is super firm. The portion size is generous, comes w/ rice, and very well priced. Egg rolls were perfectly crispy. Very large and stuffed with good flavor. Egg Drop Soup is tasty and also well priced. Crispy noodles that come with the egg drop soup are airy with great crunch. We absolutely love this local Chinese takeout spot! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their dumplings are a standout—unlike anywhere else in the area, they use a lighter, less doughy wrapper that makes them totally unique and delicious. We also ordered catering from them for a recent event, and they really impressed us—great food, delivered right on time, and very reasonably priced.
