Luigis Square Pizza — Restaurant in Ocean Township

Went in right at closing and they had some slices still left over, however I wanted to order a pizza. I believe it was the owner who gave them the nod to make me a fresh pie. Thank you btw. I had to obviously wait for it to get made, so I went out to my car to wait. I observed their closing procedures and noticed how diligently they dusted every little corner. The place is spotless. Ok on to the Pizza review. We had the square thin pizza as recommended at the counter. The bottom was perfectly cooked well done. The sauce was not over spiced and they use a high quality tomato that me being Italian could appreciate. When I brought the pizza into my car, my family commented on how amazing it smelled. The toppings did not pull off when you bite into it and we all loved it! The pizza bottom did not get moist at the bottom even on the last few pieces, as I couldn’t stop myself from eating it. Yes it was that good!! Even after over eating I did not have that full stomach feeling, which tells me the dough was fermented properly. Great Job Guys!!!! Just went in for a square pepperoni and it was a terrible experience. From the moment i walked in the staff strangely stared at me. It was very uncomfortable and i could see that one of the guys in the front kept staring at me from the corner of his eyes. Once i got my slice i bit into it and it was cold. Not worth going back into such an uncomfortable environment.

How are you going to completely invalidate my experience I went in Sunday 9/29/24 around 6:30pm. If you’re looking for a Pizzeria that makes quality food using quality ingredients, Luigi’s Square is the place to go. The owners are friendly and strive for only the best. All the workers are accommodating. Always a variety of slices when I stop in for lunch, and yet to have one that isn’t phenomenal. Not being a local to Monmouth county, and having moved down from North Jersey I tried many different Pizzeria’s during the time I’ve lived down here and wasn’t impressed until I found Luigi’s Famous in Lincroft, now can get the same pizza even closer in Ocean.
