Zano Bros. of Brooklyn — Restaurant in Ocean Township

We tried them for their pizza first and it was just ok. We decided to try their deli and ordered a bunch of different appetizers. We had it delivered and it got here quick which was awesome!!! We have heard so many great things about their food but our experience was very different. We ordered the stuffed artichokes, stuffed mushrooms, marinated mushrooms and a rice ball. What a disappointment!! The artichokes were not ripe or cleaned properly. The choke (not edible) was left on the heart and could cause bad side effects if eaten. The stuffed mushrooms were flavorless and rubbery.. They were suppose to be stuffed with crab meat but it was mostly bread crumbs. Not to mention how expensive they were . If you like to drink vinegar straight from the bottle then u would have enjoyed their marinated mushrooms. They were saturated in vinegar and had a strong onion taste. We couldn’t see one onion in the container so we are not sure why the onion taste was so strong We have had rice balls locally so decided to try that as well. Their rice ball had barely any meat or peas . It was just rice. We were hoping to find another place to add to our takeout list but we will never order from here again. Very expensive for food that definitely did not taste like homemade italian food. I’m not sure if something has changed recently with the cook or if people had never had good Italian food. Whatever the reason , we can’t understand how people rave...

Horrible service! They were two hours late to my son’s wedding with the catered food! I live on a main road and they only needed to literally make ONE turn off route 9. They called to say they were lost and I gave them exact directions with three landmarks. They lied about where they were and kept saying they were almost there! The ceremony had to be delayed, 60 people were starving and upset! Of course we were badmouthed because of the delay!

When I called the next day to ask if they could pick up the warmers, instead of me having to be inconvenienced more, the owner scolded me for being upset! He said I cursed at his totally responsible driver! What??!!! After two hours and the fifth call, I was frothing I was so angry! He said she was upset, and my house is hard to find! 50 of the 60 guests were total strangers and they found my house with NO problem at all! I get Amazon deliveries EVERYDAY!

The owner said his adult responsible drivers were so upset that one was crying. I told him that he should not hire stupid people who don’t know that west is the direction away from the water. The resturant is right by the water, and his stupid drivers don’t know East from west?
