The ever-popular 85•C Bakery Café is now finally opened in Oceanside California and the wait is finally over.

This Asian-Inspired bakery & café is a chain that has spread from Orange County to San Diego. They're known for having a large variety of breads, cakes, sweet pastries and sandwiches. They also have a great selection of coffees, lattés and boba drinks.

They're located just off of Mission Ave and El Camino Real in a busy shopping center, next to Planet Fitness 😜 Although the area can sometimes be known as sketchy, it's safe to park and dine-in.

Upon walking-in, you'll see 2 electronic kiosks and you can use these to order any drinks from their café side. The menu is very easy to navigate & intuitive & you'll be given a receipt with order number for you to pick-up your drink.

When it comes to pastries, you'll find their spacious establishment able to accommodate most crowds.

With most of their sweets priced at under $4, many customers buy a lot of them. With this in mind, you can grab a tray from the table and then begin browsing their selections.

It's best to start from the shelves on the south side and then walk east and eventually end up towards the cashiers on the north side. Also keep in mind to check the refrigerated section on your way; there are pies, cakes and bottled beverages too.

If you know you'll be a frequent customer, I HIGHLY recommend downloading their APP and enjoying a FREE DRINK on your first order. There's also a REWARD PROGRAM for frequent purchases and I also saw a 50% off special too.

I liked their jalapeño cream cheese roll, ube bread and mangotale roll.

Overall, 85c Bakery Café is going to do very well in this location due to their price points for both their pastries AND their drinks. I also like that you can use their APP to pre-order before you arrive.

The Brioche and the Marble Taro are classics, but the Sea Salt Coffee is honestly the star of the show for me—perfectly balanced, unique, and something you can’t find anywhere else. Their cakes are soft and not overly sweet, which makes them perfect for people who want flavor without feeling overwhelmed.

Everything tastes fresh, and you can tell they bake constantly throughout the day. The pricing is also really fair for the quality and portion sizes. It’s one of those places that works for a quick snack, a cute date stop, or grabbing treats to bring home.

I absolutely love 85°C in Oceanside! Every time I stop by, I’m impressed by the variety and freshness of their pastries. The quality is consistently great, and everything looks as good as it tastes.

On this visit, I tried one of their sandwiches and it was surprisingly fresh and satisfying—perfectly balanced flavors and a nice change from the usual pastry run. The mango roll was a standout—light, fruity, and not overly sweet. Highly recommend grabbing one if it’s available!
