I never do this but today I had to change my mind this is usually one of our favorite places to come and today they completely changed my opinion of them. I called to place an order because we moved to the Vista area and so it's half an hour from us to come here but we love this location usually and the girl answered the phone didn't give me her name she actually just answered the phone hello didn't even say hello to her Pizza from Mars or anything like that as if she's answering her personal phoneI called to place an order because we moved to the Vista area and so it's half an hour from us to come here but we love this location usually and the girl answered the phone didn't give me her name she actually just answered the phone hello didn't even say hello to her Pizza from Mars or anything like that as if she's answering her personal phone she took my order and never put it in. My husband goes in and instead of apologizing for the mistake they accused us of calling the wrong location. Insisted we called the wrong place. Then when he asked the number to this location they responded they don't know. He tried to place the order and then they told us that it was more than an hour wait when our original wait time was half an hour. I decided to call the manager and they responded telling me that there is no manager in store but they can find somebody above me and instead of that person coming to the phone they told the girl who answered the phone originally and didn't put my order in to tell me to call back when they close at 9:00 p.m. so in other words I have to wait to resolve my issue and 9:00 p.m. when they close because they are backed up more then an hour. I said that was the issue I placed an order 30 minutes ago and you didn't even put it in your system and your not even going to try to accommodate or even attempt to prioritize my order. Her response is well I don't know how to help you. I'm thinking How about an apology?!? COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Apparently they have kids running the store and no...
Read moreWhat used to be a five star pizza joint is slipping a bit. I'm a native San Diego and I've been coming here for decades. What "was" the best lunch special in town, is now just a disgrace. One of the specials used to be a two slice Pizza no limit on the topping with a salad and a drink, beer optional. I do not know whose managerial decision it was to change this lunch special but it was a sad one. My two slices today we're limited to two toppings I ordered Canadian bacon and pepperoni. My pizza came out with four pieces of topping per slice. My one piece of Canadian bacon was cut in half in two pieces of pepperoni. Wow what a jip. The salad used to be a decent size bowl of salad with pepperoncini on the side tomato croutons cucumber cheese and your choice of dressing. Today my salad was about half as big as what it used to be and a tiny tiny bowl that you would use for a scoop of ice cream. The drink is no longer beer optional it is a fountain drink only now. This is very disheartening that what used to be a great lunch special is been cut down to a cheesy crappy special and I do not mean that in a good way. I live up on the coast by Tyson Park and the Strand and I travel all the way down to Mission and El Camino to hit up Pizza From Mars is lunch special. If the next time I come in the special is still the same it will probably be the last time I come back for the lunch special unless I am right next door for lunch. But this new lunch special is nowhere near worth the travel
On a good note, the salad was fresh although very small. the pizza is still awesome although the cutbacks make it very skimpy. service is still great, atmosphere...
Read moreWhen in on a Saturday and placed an order for 10 pizza specials to be ready for pickup on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (tried to pay but they said the "special" button wouldn't work until Sunday. Called again Sunday at 1:27 p.m. to verify the pizzas Would be ready at 4:00 for a birthday party ( tried to pay by card but they wouldn't accept it over the phone). Sent my friend exactly at 4:00 to pick up the pizzas. Manager said they had been calling me all day and couldn't get ahold of me. I looked at my phone and I had two phone calls at 4:07 and 4:08 p.m. needless to say that pizzas were not ready they said they would have them ready in 30 minutes. My friend's husband went back at 5:00 and the pizza still weren't ready he waited and finally got the pizzas. They charged me the "special" price of $23.95 for a large cheese pizza!!! Then on top of it my friend tip them $30 and they accepted it? The pizzas got there so late they were never eaten and I ended up giving them to my landscape crew the next morning tried and tried and tried to talk to managers and general manager kept leaving phone messages, kept going in the store, a total of 20 phone calls and five times at the store. After begging them to do the right thing they credited me $100 two weeks later. Side note...... Little Caesars knocked off half price for the pizzas, Tony Pepperoni knocked off over half price for the pizzas, and the Costco pizzas went...
