I had this place before covid and it wasn't bad so I took the family and instantly regretted being there. Flys everywhere even though we ate inside. Service meh, really she only took the order, brought the order, and brought the check even though it wasn't asked for and the plates were full of food still. Which now brings me to that out of 6 separate entrees 2 were eaten. I was nauseous after the first bite. If restaurants are starting to serve fake food this is definitely 1 of those places. Textures were off food was bland and I'm not just saying no spices bland I'm talking the food itself did not taste like the food it was. The cocoa as you can see in the picture had oil floating in it and we thought maybe the cups were dirty but 2 of them were from their mugs and another 2 from the to go cups and they were all like that. I would honestly not recommend this place to anyone. Plates full of food and you would think someone would ask is everything okay. I worked in the food industry and being someone that cares about their customers I would have noticed 4 out of 6 Plates untouched. Everyone has different taste though so don't let me change your mind. Try at...
Read moreOur wait time once we ordered food was insane. Nearly an entire hour. Others got seated and had their food brought to them long before. We saw it all. Big parties too, when we're only a party of two. I ordered the eggs Benedict, my husband had the French toast and the biscuits and gravy. They weren't complicated orders, no changes or substitutions. Our food was barely warm when we got it. My husband's French toast was cold enough, that he was basically smearing some butter on it because there was no heat to melt the butter on top. The biscuits and gravy were cooled enough that they were congealed a bit, and had so little flavor until we added some salt and pepper. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict was also congealed. The only item I thought was really good was my hash browns. They make those perfectly. The warmest thing on our table was the syrup my husband asked for.
I wanted to love this place, I did. I was excited by all of the reviews. It just wasn't worth it to me. The wait and basic-level of the food, along with the insanely slow service will keep us away and definitely lead us to tell others to...
Read moreThis place has potential! The staff is friendly and helpful if a bit understaffed. Clearly, the cook knows how to prepare food. The poached eggs were perfect (no easy feat) and the hash browns were just right. The only problem was the lack of flavor. A liberal use of herbs and other seasonings would make the food stand out. The western omelet was kind of a mish mash, but again, had great potential. The buttered toast arrived cold with unmelted butter. This may have been due to the inadequate number on the floor and the pickup window. However, they tried. I've got to give them that. For the type of food, the prices seemed very high, more than I would normally pay for a simple American breakfast. Regarding the atmosphere, again the word is potential. It's a cute space, with counter and table service. But, the interior paint (a nice dark color) was chipped in many places and it looked sloppy. A little touch up would go a long way. Lastly, it's clear this place is making a effort. I hope they make it because, you...
