Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Oceanside

I had their salad before and really liked it, although they really do need to upgrade the small, flimsy forks they give you to eat those chunky salads with.

A couple months ago, I had a BOGO salad coupon, so I invited my friend to come with me one Saturday in July, to have lunch. I ordered the garden type salad that has chicken on it, and she had the chef's salad, I believe. The food was okay but not quite as good as last time. (I will never understand the practice of putting steaming hot chicken on a nice cold salad, and turning lettuce into warm slime. I always have to get the chicken on the side, so it can cool off.)

That salad was the only substantial thing I ate that day. The next day I suffered a very strange type of illness, like an odd food poisoning that I've never had before. It consisted of a really bad bad headache that lasted all day, and pain in my lower abdominal area. Not much gas, no diarrhea, just weird pain. It really ruined my day. I didn't immediately assume it was from the salad, until I talked to my friend the next day, and found that she had also been stricken with the exact same symptoms, after our eating there. Neither of us had any type of illness or anything contagious, and those symptoms were just bizarre.

Sadly, I have crossed Habit off to my list of potential "safe" places to get a good salad. That was just too much...

Came here with my family of 5. We walked up to the counter to order and the guy said it would be a few minutes. The kiosk was available to order but when trying to customize burgers is not very easy. Also you cannot order kids milks or at least we don’t know how. We waited for at least 5 min for the guy to take our order but noticed he was only 1 of 2 people working. So we ordered on the kiosk. When we went to sit down tables were dirty so I got some napkins and water and wiped down one for us. The food didn’t take too long but seemed thrown together. My portobello burger didn’t have a lot of mushrooms on it. My wife’s burger was pretty bad as well. The cook was obviously rushing since she was the only other employee working. We have always enjoyed habit but the service and quality has gone downhill. We came here a couple weeks ago and there was minimal staff and our food wasn’t very good but thought we would try it again. Sorry habit but we will be going to In n out. Better service and...

This store has messed up my order for the second time. When I got there they haven't started the order. Supposed to be ready at 1250.

Told them not to mess up my order like last. They messed up my order again.

Item 1 Charburger with cheese and bacon only. Received plain charburger with cheese. Burger burnt. No bacon.

Item 2 Charburger plain. Received Burger burnt.

Item 3 Grilled chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce on the side with portobello and avocado. Received, no teriyaki sauce, no avocado

Item 4 Grilled Chicken Sandwich with BBQ sauce on the side, lettuce wrap with bacon and avocado. No mayonnaise. Received mayonnaise and BBQ sauce in the lettuce wrap, no avocado.

Called the store and got a rep telling me to go back drive 20 minutes to get the order remade, while I wait. I ask for them to deliver, no we can not do that. Then I ask for a full refund, so sorry, we can not do that.
