Mission Seafood Market — Restaurant in Oceanside

Owner is dishonest, will lie to your face without blinking while smiling and telling you the rotten smelling stinky fish he is selling for 30$ a pound !!!!!! Insane price for insanely bad seafood he orders from the dirty rivers in China.... Look at all the box's laying around everything is in Chinese... This is NOT LOCAL this is imported old and rotten fish. Somebody please call the health department to investigate this location it is 100% a public safety concern. I can only imagine how many people this business poisoned or sold old fish with parasites in it. VERY SAD THAT SOME OF YOU DON'T know the difference because you grew up so poor you think McDonalds...

I am in shock to see 4 star rating in this not very clean small hole in the wall store that sells mostly old frozen seafood and old smelly fish. I purchased here one time and trusted the owner when he said the fish was fresh. I drove home and started cooking sadly to find out the fish stunk, obviously it was very old.

When I came back and asked to smell the fish before purchasing the owner got defensive obviously scared that I would smell his old stinky cheap fish and not buy it. This time I turned around and walked out.

This place is a rip off 9 out of 10 times. Even the live crab stinks, I bet he gets it dirt cheap from...

Seafood quality and selection are really good... But a little bit dissatisfied with the pushy service. I went in there expecting to buy 2 lb of clams and discuss that with the lady working the counter then change my mind and decided to buy 3 lb of clams. As she put them in a bag and weighed them she looked over at me and said this is 4 pounds this is okay right!? Before I even had a chance to respond she had already rang them up and put them in a second bag and again said again...this is okay right!? I didn't want to make things awkward and I was in a rush so I agreed. Totally not cool! I asked for 3 lb and...
