I have always loved Church's Chicken. I lived near the one on Dixie for years and they were awesome. Food, service all excellent. I now live near the one on Andrews H'way and they are awful! I have gone there 4 times and 4 times my order was wrong. 3 times I've called and gone back to get the right thing and two of those times it was still wrong! Today I spent almost $45 for my order. I was very specific about what I wanted( it was all on the menu; no special orders) . I told the lady I wanted to check my bag to make sure it was right and she assured me it was right and just about pushed me out of line so she could get to the next customer. I did look inside the big bag and the right number of small bags was there so I just took it and left. I got home; started fixing my husband's plate; and GUESS WHAT?! I paid for extra gravy that wasn't there. I ordered a family size okra but what was in the bag was a small carton of overcooked, cold fries! I ordered green beans and got less than half a carton of green beans and the rest was liquid. Some of the chicken( I ordered the 20 piece) was good but several pieces tasted like they'd been left in the fridge for about a week, then reheated. NASTY. I called the store and was told" well come back and we'll try to fix it. I told her I had already come back 3 other times and they still messed it up so I didn' t see the point andbesides I didnt have TIME to come back today. I suggested they bring it to me this time. She said "Lady I can talk to the person who took your order but that's all I can do. We don't deliver. You can come and get it or not!" I told her I would never order from them again and she said "fine lady! Whatever! Bye!" and...
Read moreI stopped by this particular Odessa store after lunch around 1:30 or so on Friday, the 14th. I wanted a 10 piece to go and was behind another customer who was ordering. While I was waiting I noticed the chicken that was in the rakes in the kitchen and it looked kind of dark. It looked as if it had cooked too long.
The customer in front of me was having problems deciding what he wanted and backed off and let me do my order. When I stepped up, the chicken looked incredibly dark, but I ordered anyway. When I got back out to my vehicle, I proceeded back down the road and was almost to Fort Stockton before I tried eating it.
When I opened the box, the chicken was just short of BURNT. When I tried to eat it, that was an ordeal all of its own. Even the meat on some pieces had been overcooked and it just could not be chewed. The pieces were even miniature in size. This was a disaster. $20 spent on burnt, inedible chicken.
I have been eating at Church's for YEARS and have never EVER had an issue like this. As a matter of fact, Church's is my preferred place for chicken. This was a TERRIBLE experience and will make me quite careful in the future when ordering chicken from them. It is safe to say that I will never be doing business with this particular store again.
It might be a good idea for the manager to check on their fryer system to make sure it is working properly and that the employees are aware of the proper cook time for fried chicken. And the size of the chicken pieces looked as if they were KFC rejects. Not even real chicken pieces. This whole thing was a...
Read moreIf I could rate this POS establishment a 0 stars I would. Never in my life have I been treated with such utter disrespect from employees. I have worked in retail for over 10 years and never would I consider treating a customer in the way my boyfriend and I were treated. Attitude from the cashier right away, and when asked to repeat the order because it was apparent she did not want to hear what we wanted she denied service and said she would “Drop the credit card on the ground” if we did not get out of her drive thru. When asked to speak to the manager, the “manager” strolled over to the window and did a 180 and went about his business. We continued to sit there, waiting, and then are told our order was cancelled and to leave. At this point we are on the phone with customer service, which I hope they heard the foul language coming out of Taylor’s (cashier) mouth. I will never eat at a Church’s Chicken ever again, I’d rather get frostbite & have my fingers amputated without anesthesia before giving this company my money. I really hope the district manager follows through with me, and that these two horrible employees are reprimanded because that’s the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I’m still in shock they work there. Save your money and go to Chick Fil A, at least that’s...
