Although I would normally write a 4.5 star review on Jersey Mike's be cause it is usually the best sandwich shop to me, especially in Odessa, TX, unfortunately today 8-23-2016 was not the best and the third star was out of kindness.
There was three employees working the counter; a cashier, a prepper and an "observer". Another employee was ahead of me but this time was a customer grabbing a bite to eat before he started his shift (no issue there for me). The issue I had was waiting in the line of two people (the employee and myself) the employees were talking to the employee who is no longer ordering not once acknowledging me at least to tell me they will be right with me. Finally I was greeted with a hello but no order taken. I did the old look at the watch trick then my order was finally taken. Since the employees were still talking I went around the employee in line because of his lack of effort to go pay out. In stead of the cashier acknowledging me, not even with eye contact, I finally had to ask if it is OK if I pay. No yes or no just me looking at the register for the final price. I paid and waited for my food which I must say did come pretty quickly perhaps to make up the time I wasted in line. As I ate the sandwich I was severely disappointed the sandwich was a philly cheese steak, the meat tasted like it was cooked on a grill that has not been cleaned for a while. I have never had this issue with Odessa Jersey Mike's. I did not complain be cause what I have learned in Odessa Texas is that it is a waste of time to complain also I was already running late. I hope this is a one time occurrence because I really do like Jersey Mike's Odessa Texas...
Read moreI've been a regular at this Jersey Mike's Subs store for a few years now, and while their customer service has always been satisfactory, the cleanliness of the store has been increasingly disappointing. One glaring issue is the lack of adherence to basic deli standards, such as using separate slicers for cheese and meats to prevent food allergens and cross-contamination. Unlike traditional delis in Jersey, which typically have two slicers to maintain hygiene and safety, this location uses a single slicer for everything.
The store often has crumbs and food debris on the counters and floors, especially around the slicer area which aren’t addressed promptly. Due to high traffic at times, I believe it to be the main reason for lack of action. “See picture for reference” Restrooms are sometimes in need of attention, which raises concerns about the overall sanitary practices of the establishment.
Given the importance of cleanliness in a food service environment, I believe management retraining is necessary to bring the store up to standard. Improving these aspects would ensure a better and safer dining experience...

Feel free to google Endocrine disruptors Bd receipts. Studies have been done by the Mayo Clinic, Ecology Center, and various medical journals.
Some receipts, especially those printed on thermal paper, can contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that may be harmful to human health. These chemicals include bisphenol A (BPA) and bisphenol S (BPS), which are chemically similar to estrogen and can mimic its effects in the body. Research suggests that people can absorb BPA through their skin after handling thermal paper receipts, and that exposure to BPA may be linked to a number of health issues, including: Cancer Reproductive disorders Brain development anomalies in children Obesity Diabetes Altered immune system Heart disease Endometriosis Neurological and learning disabilities Early puberty and infertility According to a Ecology Center study...
