I have many fond memories of Long John Silver’s from my childhood, and recently, I decided to revisit the brand after many years, rekindling my appreciation for their classic fish patties. My usual order is straightforward—six fish patties, and occasionally, a side of cheese bites.
Unfortunately, this particular visit did not live up to expectations. The restaurant was noticeably unclean and filled with smoke, creating an unpleasant dining atmosphere. Upon placing my order, there was some confusion at the register, and it became clear from the price that my order had not been entered correctly. After some discussion between the cashier and a coworker, they were eventually able to adjust the charge appropriately.
As for the food, the fish patties were heavily breaded, which resulted in an overly greasy texture that detracted from the flavor. The cheese bites, while expectedly greasy, were enjoyable and consistent with what I remember.
Overall, the meal was below the standard I had hoped for, both in terms of quality and experience. While I still enjoy Long John Silver’s as a brand and will continue to dine at other locations, I do not anticipate returning to this...

So we always go to the one on west county road where they are So polite and very clean it’s incredible. Now 42nd everything bad always happens in this one. Today when I go my order I had absolutely nothing. It’s the sampler which I they should know what is in it. Well no chicken at all. Had my coleslaw side, was it there, no!! Then yes my daughter should had asked for condiment but for having to order from a few Places I’m sure you forget. Especially if it’s not hers. But I believe as an employee they should respectfully at least ask if you need ketchup or at least Tatar sauce, since fish is all they gave me or anything. That would help everyone so much. Read moreDon't dare order food off the website, if they don't have something they will not replace your food with anything other than clams, even if the item is cheaper than what you actually ordered, and if you don't want the clams they won't give you the rest of your food and have no idea how to give you a refund and will be rude about it. After being there almost an hour, they told me I could come back Monday, it's Wednesday, and try to get a refund when someone else, I assume a manager, was there. Luckily after sending an email to support, they sent me a number and the customer service person I spoke to was helpful. I will never go to this long john silver's ever again, worst experience of my life!
