I was a manager for Starbucks for several years, the set up at this store is the worst I have ever seen. It is the most inefficient way possible to run a barista bar. Because of this, the drive-through times are absolutely atrocious. I have waited in that line for an hour with only six cars ahead of me. Since they put the Starbucks in on 8th St, I go there almost every day as I live only 2 1/2 blocks from that store. But due to the extremely bad service and inefficient store set up, I will no longer go to the store at all. And I have watched car after car pull out of that drive-through line and go somewhere else. I do not think the people running the store. Have any idea how much business they are actually losing. As if all of this, we’re not bad enough now they’re telling me that they will not make my drink the way I need to have it made. I am diabetic. Therefore, I need sugar free. Starbucks elected not to carry sugar-free anymore except for vanilla, which I do not like. I have to bring my own syrup. When I order a Vente, I ask them to put it in a Trenta cup, so that I can add my syrup without making a mess all over my car. Apparently they are no longer able to do this because of some new ridiculous inventory tracker. Starbucks has an 80% profit margin yet they are going to squabble over a two cent cup. 2 cents is the difference between a venti cup and a trenta. So not only am I paying almost 6 bucks for a drink that I have to partially make myself they are going to deny me the opportunity to get a full drink in a larger cup over a couple of pennies. Their solution was to give me less coffee in the Venti cup, so in other words, I do not get my full drink. But I am still being charged full price for it. The final straw was them telling me I cannot smoke in my own car at the drive thru. I am a smoker and my money is just as good as anyone else’s. I bought and paid for that car, that is my own personal space. No one has the right to tell me what I can, and cannot do inside my own vehicle. So let’s recap they no longer carry what I need at their store as far as ingredients. Their set up is extremely inefficient and makes for bad customer service and long wait times. They want to give me less coffee in order for me to make my own drink that I am paying a ridiculous price for in the first place. And now they’re trying to tell me what I can, and cannot do in my own vehicle. I will not go to that store ever again. I strongly recommend Corporal Ray’s. They have good service, their drive-through times are acceptable, and they actually carry enough ingredients to make any cup of coffee that you would want without you having to make it yourself. Starbucks has officially lost a customer for life. I would rather drive halfway across town to get a cup of coffee than 2 1/2 blocks to come to your store. Super rude including manager, I wish she would not sit and talk like boss in front of her laptop but standing and talking to me with eye contacts, she was sitting and explaining the drink like, i was akid like i was buying for the 1st time, no manager skills , she could apologize for misunderstanding and I would be ok but instead moving her lips and misbehaving , she definitely needs skills and customer service problem solution!!!!I wish I went to other Starbucks in the town! She didnt have any approach of resolving the fact that the drink was full ice and that not what i wanted in the first place before they gave it to me, i asked for refill later , she explain me what drink were for refill, I was ok with but later I explain I had a drink full of ice even before i got the drink , i was ignored and later she ignored like, i dont care instead of explaining the misunderstanding and saying , “ we wish would tell you before serving since I am the buter not maker “ but kept ignoring while sitting on her chair and doing her whatever!!! Even after i explain this not what i wanted, being ignored by manager for just cup of coffee. I will never spend a penny there and will let my friends know that spot is being bad bad bad. Read moreI ordered through the drive line this morning. It moved pretty quick. Unfortunately the cashier at the window made the order very uncomfortable. My iced latte had about 1/3 foam. I asked her about it because I commonly order this drink at other strabucks and there is only a bit of foam on the top, I am pretty familiar with the drink. She seemed short and maybe a bit irritated but offered to remake it. After her the woman who handed us the drink had the same attitude. Very passive agressive. She told us next time to asked for no foam. I admit that when she told me to pull up and wait I didn't because her tone made me feel like she was going to make me wait forever. I had somewhere to be so I couldn't take the chance. That was my bad and probably why the other person seemed annoyed. I will probably avoid this starbucks and opt for the one on JBS. I think if she had a better attitude or didn't make excuses for why the drink was less than 2/3 full (expect the foam) I would have given a better review. I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time at this location. Just my honest experience and review of the service during this visit.
